Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SerbiaIt was a little bit cold because we were staying in cold times, but electrical blankets fixed the problem and added to the comfort.
The staff was amazing, so nice and kind. Also, the rooms and the common space were comfy, we liked it a lot. There was a security booth outside the guesthouse, so we felt safe and sound. Definitely worth the price.

South AfricaA very neat and lovely Airbnb apartment equipped with everything you need. A good bed and a nice bathroom. I came in from quite a late flight and received a warm welcome from the great host, who was always available when I need them. They were extremely kind and courteous with a willingness to share all they know about the area. I had a great stay! The communication prior and during the stay was super easy and quick and the place looks exactly like it does in the pictures. The neighbourhood is very conveniently located in a quiet, residential neighbourhood. I Would absolutely recommend staying there

United KingdomVery little to say here, but minor changes to make it even better: A full length mirror in bedroom. Cafetière fresh coffee at breakfast.
Well located and attractive property in lovely residential street. But the bonus of this place is the host Zanele; she's divine. From the moment she welcomed me on arrival set the comfortable tone for this place. The house is beautiful and and main reception area very stylish with Honesty Bar. It's like staying with a very sophisticated friend/relative with a comfortable/chic homey feel. The rooms are perfectly clean and spacious with a terrace. the room's fridge has a cool bottle of water and yummy chocolate chip biscuits, [cookies for the US reader], - a nice welcome after travelling. I totally loved being there, felt safe and just so warm and welcoming a place to return to each evening. Breakfast was fabulous and prepared freshly to order by the wonderful and graceful Host, Zanele. The one down side at breakfast is the coffee machine which is odd as the place is so sophisticated in all other ways.

South AfricaThe house itself is warm but I felt a bit cold in my room. The wall heater is not so effective in my view. I get the energy management issue but for a person who drinks a lot of tea/coffee it does get too much to have to leave the comfort of my room to go get hot water
I have become a regular at this place. The staff is wonderful, ever so helpful. Great location. Beautiful property. The lighting in the rooms is much better- I usually stay here the night before exam/ lecturer.

South AfricaUnderstandably due to load shedding, the electric blankets and wall heaters had to be off. I was very cold on some of the nights.
The space was just beautiful. Behind the gate, it felt like I had entered another world. The lounge space was so homely and tastefully decorated, it was warm and welcoming. The fireplace and heater added a special touch in one of the coldest weeks. The smell of baking really made it feel like a home away from home. The room was well equipped and was spacious. It was at the back giving me privacy but not isolated. I have found my go to place in Johannesburg.

GermanyOur room was a bit small; It's fine, but cozy for two.
The rooms are clean and cozy, bathrooms very nice as well. It's a small property, fewer than ten rooms and you feel like you're in a home...well, you are, but it's been renovated. Each room has access to an outdoor patio and there is a shared lobby/living room space as well with books and a small bar. Great breakfast and a lovely staff in a nice part of town, w/in 10 min walk to Rosebank mall and local shops.
