Felt that the breakfast and dining options were a bit bland.

The service from the staff was exceptional. The resort is a great location for kids since there is a lot to do. If you want some privacy, head back to the hotel and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. All in all, a great experience.

The bath and toilet area were a little small.

We loved the sizes of the room and that we could get an interleading door between our two rooms. The beds were extra comfortable, the bathroom spacious and well appointed. We did not stay in a refurbished suite so it’s understandable that the hot water tap at the basin didn’t work. It didn’t affect the enjoyment of our holiday at all. Room service was amazing and the food delicious. Breakfast was a highlight each day.

Not much. Except that our booking was moved up by two weekends apparently due to renovations and were offered to be moved to Cascades but said we will wait as my daughter wanted The Palace experience and because this was my 5th time staying at The Palace and was really looking forward to seeing the 'New Look' rooms. Was disappointed when I was told that the renovations are still on and I only got to find out on the day of check-in when I requested for a pool facing room 🙃. However I plan on bringing my mom, aunt, son and niece next year when I have some money saved up as we'll now be 6 people and hopefully the renovations will be done by then. I came here before with my husband, girls, Royal Escape and alone during Pharmacy Conference and would like my other family members to have an experience of what The Palace has to offer.

Every September I have a weekend mommy/daughter bondcation during her school holidays. So this year she requested to go to Sun City and specifically wanted The Palace experience. My very first stay inside Sun City was with my husband at the then Sun City Hotel (now Soho) and later in the years had a family vacation with my sister and the kids at Cabannas. Ever since, I've done The Palace either solo, with my husband or with girlfriends. I must say I have grown a new and deeper appreciation for The Palace especially this time around...not sure if it's the lockdown but I got to take in all it's surroundings more...even something as simple as just sitting by the pool side. I enjoyed the activities (Quad biking and Valley of Waves) with her and hope to explore more next time. All me and my friends did was go to the Shebeen and Night clubs and I therefore missed out on the other activities Sun City has to offer. Oh yes big ups to the new Jaquar electric cars...my son would have enjoyed riding in them as he has an obsession about cars generally and for the past years busy building a flying engine in his bedroom....literally 😉. Last but not least I would like to commend your staff for the respect and great service they always offer. I know lockdown has affected businesses generally but please recognize their efforts...even during this time of adversity when most only work on weekends only they still force to give the best service with the outmost respect. And it's them that make us want to keep coming back for The Palace Experience

Screaming kids in the hotel, restaurants, bar areas and in foyer echoing through to all the bedrooms. Parents don't care and the hotel staff say nothing.

Being at Sun City

The corridors in front of the rooms were noisy at night. I had to let the hot water in the shower run for about 5 to 6 minutes before it got warm. The shuttle service to and from other hotels on in the complex is very slow, because there are not enough shuttle vehicles. The vegan options at breakfast and at dinner were disappointing, to say the least. Everything is cooked with dairy cream or butter. No coconut cream or plant based butter / margarine or plant based cheese options were available. At least they had soy milk for my cereal.

Rooms are comfortable. Staff are quite friendly and helpful.

Outdated.

While still an architectural marvel. The rooms are very old and outdated. Staff are always excellent. But lobby, lounge and pool area need a serious compete revamp. I just hope they use a good company to do it as they turned the entertainment centre in a cheap but neat and clean food court.

Lack of maintenance. There are a number of areas where lights or features are dysfunctional with cabling hanging out - it detracts from the magical mystism of the location

Fantastic massage at poolside, ansolutely lve crustal court, great variety of entertainment experiences for the entire family. Unbelievable beautiful gholf courses.
