the location is perfect, close to the lake and just a 5 minute walk to the town centre. The hotel is lovely, very elegant inside, we had a newly renovated room to the side with a balcony and a peek of the lake. The grounds are stunning with two beautiful swimming pools to relax by. We were very happy about our dog coming with us and being able to join us even at breakfasts and by the pool. We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Filotea - the house is amazing and Cristina was a superhost. The property has a beautiful garden in a nice quiet neighborhood and is only 5 mins drive to downtown Desenzano, where's there plenty of great restaurants.
