Quietly located in western Iceland’s countryside, this hotel is 2 km from the Grábrók volcano in the Borgarbyggd District. It offers free Wi-Fi, outdoor hot tubs and individually decorated rooms. Free hot tub 24h! Amazing view from rooms and great breakfast, super comfy beds! it was a really fun and magical stay.

Located 6 km from Stykkishólmur, Helgafell provides a garden and free WiFi. All rooms feature a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. The cabin was beautiful.everything was so clean and smell nice, much love and effort were putting into the place. Views to die for, on the shore of the lake, under the snowy mountains.highly recommend. You do need to know that you have limited time in the shower before you run out of hot water, but it's more than enough for a nice shower.

Located on a family owned sheep farm, Saudafell Guesthouse offers accommodation in Sauðafell. Free WiFi and free private parking are available on site. Incredibly nice owners, lovely breakfast with selfmade bread. Very cozy place. We had the room in the basement which was very spacious. 1000% a recommendation to go there.

I don’t know where to even start, just WOW! Since the moment I arrived, the owner Gudrun received me with open arms and gave me a map right away with places to visit around Snaefellsnes! She was very sweet and caring! The cabin was absolutely wonderful, equipped with everything you need to have a pleasant stay. The dinner both night was absolutely INCREDIBLE! The lamb and the pasta were SOOOOO GOOD! Worth it every penny! The breakfast was also wonderful. Gudrun really cares about her visitors, and you can truly tell by the way she helps and is always available, plus she’s a wonderful cook! As a solo traveler, it truly made me feel like home, which honestly, was the best! I’ve been in Iceland for 2 weeks now and have stayed at 10 different places, this one has been BY FAR! The best! What a wonderful stay!

Stóra-Vatnshorn is located 500 metres from the historic Eiríksstadir site and 17 km from Búdardalur village. We stayed in a cozy cabin, fully equipped and super clean with wonderfull views. The place is really quiet to relax away from touristic places but also well located for visiting the nearby area. A little sad that we were only staying for one night. We definitely recommend staying here. Hope to come back in the future.

Located on Snæfellsnes peninsula, this hotel offers an in-house restaurant and rooms with mountain views and free WiFi access. Stykkishólmur town centre is a 25-minute drive away. One of our favourite places where we stayed in Iceland! Probably the most friendly staff we encountered on our travels in the country. Food was outstanding and baked goods were incredibly good. Felt like you were brought into their home for dinner.

Located in the fishing village of Patreksfjördur with panoramic views of the fjord, this guesthouse has free WiFi and a guest kitchen. The staff. They made sure that we had an amazing time. They gave us tips on when to see puffins and when we went looking for them, they extended the hours of breakfast for us. The place is spotless and the breakfast is by far the best we had during almost 2 weeks in Iceland. Highly recommend this place.
