Situated along Tanohara River and surrounded by tranquil nature in Kurokawa Onsen hot spring area, Oku no Yu Ryokan offers charming Japanese-style accommodation and various hot spring baths. Oku no yu was great! The staff picked us up from the bus station and dropped us off. The facilities had a public and many private onsens to try. The staff helped us set up our futons and there were yukatas for us in the room. We had breakfast there and it was very yummy. Overall, great experience and would recommend!

Beautiful Japanese ryokan with amazing Onsen hot springs. The staff presented us with incredible hospitality, a true ryokan experience. The room was large, clean and very comfortable. The included dinner and breakfast were unique and excellent, mainly consisting of traditional local cuisine that enhanced our overall express. One of the best highlights of our Japan trip!

Boasting spacious indoor and outdoor hot spring baths surrounded by lush greenery, Ryokan Wakaba provides Japanese-style accommodation in the peaceful mountain area. Amazing food, great staff and service, clean and comfortable, great onsens. We enjoyed our annex room.

A apenas 5 minutos a pé do centro do bairro termal de Kurokawa, o Ryokan Ichinoi oferece acomodações em estilo japonês com roupões japoneses Yukata. Everything was perfect, especially the service. We took a bus there and the staff picked our luggage up at the bus station and let us explore the small town freely, and lent us umbrella since it was drizzling. The cook accommodated to our diet restriction and made us a very sumptuous meal at dinner and lunch. The Onsens are good too. There were not many guests so we basically enjoyed them as private ones. The place is 8 minutes hike from the town but since the staff offered us shuttle from and to the bus station, commuting is no problem at all.

The onsen is clean, and the view is good, especially the open air onsen at the top of the mountain. All the staff were very courteous and helpful. The room is very comfortable. The meals were fabulous and delicious. Mr Sato, the owner, was exceptionally helpful and humble. He provides free shuttle services to and fro from the bus stop to the ryokan.

The staff are very professional and organized. I really appreciate that they took my special requests seriously. The service is superb. The place is so beautiful, spacious and clean. The food is great.

A "classic" hotel, not brand new but well kept and maintained. Spacious room, with a view of the Kumamoto castle. Great bathroom, with a large bathtub. The staff is stylish, welcoming and helpful. Great breakfast, with a choice of Japanese or Western. Location couldn't be better. We left the car at the hotel parking and walked to the places we wanted to see. A relaxing stay.
