My problem is not with Hotel Dilijan Resort. The problem is with Booking.com. I clearly indicated I wanted a single standard room. But reaching hotel, I found in the hotel booking a family room which was basically a two bedroom apartment with huge sitting room and costing 4 times the cost of a single room. At that time, there was no way I could officially ascertain what was my original booking. If one is not carefully to cross check over and over before completing the booking, Booking.com will saddle you with a room option you did not pick in the first place which you will only notice when it is too late. This has happened to me before

You may walk and discover interesting corners, try the Armenian dishes in the restaurants and enjoy the beautiful view of mountains around.

We stayed one night, on our drive towards Tblisi. But we shoudl have stayed 2-3 days instead in Dilijan. The nature is spectacula. We went horseback riding wiith Dilijan Horseriding. An absolute must do! We ate dinner at Kchuk restaurant, an absolute explosion of delicious flavors! The wine was from Karabagh, and was sooo smooth. We stayed one night at the cutest, comfortabe Cozy House. Imagine spending a night in Elfin like surroundings. Clean, beautiful and welcoming.

Dilijan is a beautiful and quiet town in Northern Armenia.
Dilijan is a beautiful and quiet town in Northern Armenia. It is surrounded by mountains, forests and rivers; a perfect location for those who love hiking, adventures and nature.
There are several lakes in and around Dilijan: Dilijan lake, Parz lake, Gosh and Hovk lakes (5-10 kms away from the town). You need mountain jeeps or good walking shoes to reach Gosh lake. To reach the other lakes, a usual rented car or taxi is ok. Those are small, lovely, mountain lakes.
The river Aghstev flows through the town and it offers nice views and places to eat on its shores.
Nearby towns are as peaceful as Dilijan; Goshavank, Aghavnevank (both west of Dilijan), Teghut and Hovk villages (to the north, on the road towards Ijevan).
For mountaineers and hikers, Mount Dimats offers spectacular scenes. You can reach there by mountain jeeps with drivers (10,000 drams).
The area is also packed with cultural and religious old sites, like Haghardzin monastery which can be reached by a taxi or rented car. The others, Aghavnevank and Matosavank need a good 30-40 minute upward-slope walking as the roads are not suitable for cars.
There is a deer breeding center on the way to Parz Lake. Children will love it was they are allowed to feed the deer. At Parz Lake, there are several activities, such as zipline, boat-riding, etc.
Inside the town, you can walk on Sharambeyan Street, where you can find souvenirs, artwork and traditional, 19th century houses. There is also the Dilijan Park and the Amphitheatre.
In Dilijan, there are many good places to eat, Halep, Getap, Flying Ostrich, Ureni, Kchuch and Tava restaurants. Getap restaurant and hotel complex is a great relaxing place right next to the river with good food.
Avoid going to the river or the lakes on Sundays as those places will be packed by locals and tourists.

Dilijan is a decent place for relaxing and going for extreme ways at the same time. It offers great mountainous landscapes with dense forest, yet it is a quite developed city with a selection of restaurants and cafes. There are various museums and other landmarks to visit.

A beautiful town surrounded by the mountainous Dilijan...
A beautiful town surrounded by the mountainous Dilijan National Park. A nice place to relax amongst the cool green shady trees. A few good eating options around. The Dilijan Art Gallery is excellent with some great examples of Soviet era art. A wonderful lady who spoke very good English took us on a guided tour and her explanations were really clear and insightful. The 50 Year Anniversary monument of Soviet Armenia is really impressive.
Most of all we liked the location - near the center, 2 mins to supermarkets, 5 mins to the hiking trails, 10 mins to Old Dilijan ( on foot). The hostess was wonderful - understanding, very friendly and respectful. ☺️💙 Bedroom: very comfy with TV and wi-fi ( I also found some board games in the drawer). Kitchen: tableware, microwave, electric kettle, fridge. ✅👍🏼 There is also a separate bathroom with shower, hot water and heating. Also, there were discounts in specific cafés and a restaurant. Thanks for that. 😄🤗
Clean and comfortable rooms. Serene location, nice views to the beautiful surrounding mountains. Freshly prepared delicious breakfast. Overall a very good choice for Dilijan. We arrived at the hotel very tired after being harrased at the Georgian- Armenian border crossing because of our nationality, on top of that we had our reservation rejected by an "ecohotel" around lake Sevan for the same reason, but Ms. Asia s warm greeting and hospitalty provided us great comfort and pleasure.
I had such a lovely stay at Gokor B&B. I did quite a long search before choosing this guesthouse and I don't regret it. I passed by in the morning to drop my backpack before going hiking in Dilijan National Park. I was super well received by Emma and her family. My room was so nice, in a separate little house with its own entrance. It felt like being in a small studio.
Also, the guesthouse is very well located as I could walk to the lake and to Kchuch restaurant by foot.
Spent 2 years in Armenia total. This is absolutely one of the few best places where I've ever stayed in life. The family is just great personalities, musicians themselves and very cheerful people.
The guests were awesome too, very good crowd.
The property is also in a great location where you can see Dilijan mountains, also you can enjoy mountain view on the way to the city center.
Absolutely worth it.
A wonderful hotel, cozy up in the mountains and away from the city centre bustle (it takes 20 mins on foot downhill / 5 minutes by car). Amazing view from the balcony, and a nice restaurant with tasty and healthy dishes. Minutes from the hotel, I found a great hiking path, and the view from the mountain is the best ever there! When I'm back in Dilijan, I'll be coming back here for sure ❤️
Verny nice communication with the host. The house is right in the woods, you are surrounded by magnificent Armenian nature. There is a grill that you can use and the house is very well equipped in general. Five of us were very comfortable in this house, but it could easily host 2-3 more people.
We had a great stay in the upstairs room with a fantastic view over Dilijan. The hotel is in a good location to walk to town. The bed is very comfortable and the room has a kettle and dining table. Friendly staff, thank you for organising extra blanket and pillow.
The rooms were very neat and cozy.Liked the stay very much! Definitely staying here again while visiting Dilijan. The customer service was very good. The people were very polite! We were provided with snacks and breakfast which made our visit more comfortable.
Very beautiful nature and hotel. Wonderful staff and hospitality service. Our room was very nice, and very comfortable. We loved waking up to the view and fresh air. We also loved having breakfast in the outdoor sitting are. The food was very good!
Im 3rd time in this hotel and it's absolutely amazing, staff is so friendly and welcoming. Also service is great !!! Prices are very good also they served everything we needed for our baby...Thanks guys for nice vocation!
The best choice in Dilijan. New renovated rooms, friendly staff, nice view. The breakfast is very tasty, and has big variety of dishes. Good coffee. I will recommend this hotel for families and couples.
The hotel is very welcoming, clean, and comfortable. Grant, the owner, is a very kind and available person that will help you and also offer private tours in Dilijan area or transportation to Yereven.
This is a small cozy apartment located in a multi-story building on a very pretty quiet street with many tall trees, not far from Dilijan City Center, Old Town, Tumo and cafes/restaurants.
I liked this hotel a lot. The room was very modern, comfortable, clean and sunny. I will surely recomend this hotel to everyone who wants to have an unforgettable rest in Dilijan.
Top class......Good Location amid the Dilijan National Park ....Big Rooms ....Restaurant is Amazing. There is a stream at the back oc the Hotel you can hear its sound its calming
The view around the property is amazing, fresh air and facing mountains. Very cute place to stay. It’s on the way to Dilijan national park. It’s convenient.
