Perfect location with lake view and a one minute walk to the beach. Very kind and help ful staff. We enjoyed the breakfast in the gazebo. We recommend the hotel to all who look for a balance between a tourist resort and cultural heritage, since the Sevanavank church complex and the Writers hotel are also nearby.

It's a good , quiet city not as modern as expected to be but...

It's a good , quiet city not as modern as expected to be but everything looks very genuine , good, natural with simple life style and quite original and natural products of food, dressing and so on....very kind peoples, showing hospitality, ready to help at any moment.....not much cheaper than in Europe, easy to buy by card or cash almost everywhere....a good experience for an European citizen and not only...

I had a extraordinary experience as there was a big party...

I had a extraordinary experience as there was a big party when i arrived in the guesthouse. I was treated as a family member. Words are not enough to describe the warmth i experienced while i was there, it was a big highlight of my whole trip in Armenia.. so much love i saw among everybody...

very very worth a visit!

very very worth a visit! beautiful colour lake with pure waters, amazing snowy mountains on every side, very natural with almost no buildings or roads on the south side, so still unspoilt and picturesque. At least two ancient churches and a very remarkable ancient cemetery that you must visit as a minimum, all of which have amazing views. And I recommend going in mid or late april, as no tourists, mountains still covered in white snow and temperatures are reasonable with not much rain.

I'm very glad I chose to stay at the Writer's Lodge in Sevan...

I'm very glad I chose to stay at the Writer's Lodge in Sevan on the tip of the peninsula—it was a short walk into "town" and up to the monastery—there are a handful of restaurants on the Sevan peninsula but very limited and predictable menus, especially limited for a vegetarian probably more so than anywhere I've visited this year! The old space-age Soviet design of the dining hall where I took most of my meals (yum!) is the best food and certainly the best view in town—open to the public serving breakfast/lunch/dinner up in a glass building on the end of the peninsula.

A very beautiful place to visit if you're already in Armenia, but I wouldn't recommend making a trip solely for this destination. Keep in mind that selecting your lodging, hotel, or entertainment options carefully is important, as your choices can greatly influence whether you have an excellent or disappointing experience during your stay. Have Cash with you, Credit Cards won't come handy there and there aren't many ATMs around

Very interesting place.

Very interesting place. The views of Sevan lake are stunning and the personnel is nice and accommodating. However you must be prepared for the neglected state of the property, it looks it was not renovated since it was build in 1963. I have a sort of nostalgie for Soviet life style. If you have it as well or want to have first hand experience, this is the best place for that.

Great location right by the lake, and the accommodation had a fantastic vibe. The owner was amazing and immediately took care of anything we needed. He even drove us into town and to Sevanavank the next day when he saw us waiting for a taxi. Being able to order food directly to the accommodation was great.
