Do not put your trust into this hotel or the posted reviews. We were here for our honeymoon for two nights after an amazing three-night stay at the Park Hyatt. Our vacation was ruined by Sunset Reef. The moment we arrived, we should have turned around. The hotel is on a dirt road with no signs, right past a car junkyard. If we weren’t more scared to turn around on this tough road than to continue forward, we would never have found it.
Upon arriving, we were the only guests at the property. Yes, it’s offseason, but still, this was a Friday. Immediately on entering the room, it smelled horrid, and the toilet was running, making a loud noise. They fixed the toilet, but the sound came back shortly after. We also found out that the beach bar that’s advertised was closed, and most of the furniture was covered, which was extremely unwelcoming. The beach itself was small, rocky, and poorly maintained.

Great location. An added plus is that the host lives on the property, as she is extremely professional, efficient, and discreet. The property is quiet and secure. We had everything we needed for a cozy experience.

Even though I went as a local I was treated as if I was new to island. I LOVE THAT because I too work in the industry and would have met some while booking other places in Skb and the level of professionalism was slack. But the staff was exceptional. I spoke with Kenisha on the phone. Checked in with Tiffany dealt with a short male who's shift ended a little later than Tiffany, short with long hair. The accommodation to surprise my spouse was there they did everything to make sure I can give him that experience. Mr GQ and Mr Kool I can't remember his name. The young lady who was there when we got back from dinner I was surprise she said welcome back. All the staff who worked on the 29th April 24 from I check in at 12:30 to when I left the 30th April 24. The continental breakfast was better than I expected. But some eggs would be nice.
