We have stayed in a number of hotels in the Coaching Inn chain but this was by far the best. The location was perfect being situated in the heart of Dartmoor. The facilities excellent. The restaurant was extremely well appointed with a variety of comfortable chairs and sofas. The staff were brilliant and very accommodating when asked for variations to the menu.

Situated in Buckfastleigh on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, next to the banks of River Dart. Among the various facilities of this property are a terrace, garden and a bar. Friendly, professional welcome. Beautiful location and very interesting building

The price was reasonable, they have only 4 rooms and we had 2 of them, both were very nice, heating in the bathroom made it comfortable. Restaurant had good food and stuff was nice-they helped us with turning double bed into twin. Definitely would stay here again.

Location was fabulous, overlooking the estuary with the rising hills dotted with sheep behind the pool house. As a vegan the breakfast was adequate. The bread wasn't great. Used to sourdough not pre sliced white bread. Tofu scramble would have been nice. The tea was good and there was my preferred plant based milk.

The hotel was very clean and the staff very polite and friendly. There was a homely feel to the hotel and the hotel manager and the owners themselves were very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. The food in the restaurant for both breakfast and evening meals was exemplary and this was accompanied by excellent waiting staff who again always went above and beyond to make sure we were happy.
