Tailana Island Pulau Banyak heeft een tuin, een privéstrand, een gedeelde lounge en een terras in Alaban. De accommodatie heeft een bar en een Aziatisch restaurant. Absolute paradise. To stay on a 'private' island with only the 8 bungalows at Tailana is such a dream and amazing value for money. We ended up staying 7 nights. We got the 2hr speed boat both ways, which we managed to share with other guests (arranged on whatsapp). Average price was 1,600,000 for the two of us. We know other guests who did it with the public ferry and wooden boats. The room and bed were simple but comfy, good mosquito net. Because we extended our stay, we actually stayed in the newer A-Frame room as well as the older white-washed room, and while both were good, we actually preferred the older room as it was easier to stand in (the a-frame is a bit low on the sides of the bed obviously). The food was excellent, 3 delicious meals per day. They catered to vegetarian diet without a problem. Not many mosquitos which was surprising. We snorkelled everyday (you can rent equipment from their small dive shop on the island) and thought it was really beautiful. We saw a lot of coloured fish, some stingray, and one turtle. Definitely worth the big trip to get here, but we'd recommend staying at least 4 nights to make it worthwhile. The bathrooms are simple (European style, but non-flushing... which isn't a problem) The outdoor showers are great and offer enough privacy. Tip: I brought some beers with me and they let me keep them in the fridge :)

Hotel Deli River ligt in Medan City en wordt omgeven door tropisch groen en natuurlijke landschappen. Het biedt uitzicht op de Sumatraanse jungle en gratis WiFi. Wonderful resort with all amenities and a beautifully landscaped garden. It felt like being in Bali. The building quality of the houses and the bathroom was as perfect as in Europe. The staff were wonderful. So was the food. We spent a lot of time enjoying the pool area. The two goose in the pond interacting in complete harmony was great fun to watch. Reaching central Medan by bluebird was a matter of half an hour and costed almost nothing.

Grand City Hall Hotel & Serviced Residences is situated in the heart of Medan. It is next door to the Bank Indonesia Complex. Nog nooit zo’n uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet gezien. Fijne bedden. De beste massage in het hotel gehad ooit.

Joyful Hotel is gelegen in Tanjungpandan, op 1,8 km van Strand van Tanjung Pendam, en biedt uitzicht op de stad. -Very nice and helpful staff ( 2 nice girls) they will help you to rent a motorbike, find laundry service, and give you list of activities and spots to visit around the island -the room was spacious and clean -near city center (restaurants, coffees, convenience stores...) -quiet area

Yusuf and his Family we're very friendly and accommodating. The room was ok, which was completely enough for us. We booked a 1 day Tour and our guide Dino led us through the jungle. He was realy a good Guide and also very funny. The 1 Day Tour was very informative and we certainly saw around 9 orang utans which was really impressive. That Day was a successful and very interesting Day. It was very pleasant. Thank you for that wonderful Day...

Hotel Santika Premiere Bandara Palembang heeft een tuin, en ligt in Palembang in de regio Sumatra, op 17 km van Amperabrug en 13 km van stadion Bumi Sriwijaya. Alles! Het was echt 100% genieten hier. We hebben ons op handen gedragen gevoeld. En het maakte het extra speciaal dat we als enige Westerlingen tussen de veelal Islamitische andere gasten verbleven, vooral in het zwembad gaf dat veel gevoelens van harmonie. Personeel en iedereen hier was buitengewoon vriendelijk en vrolijk! Wat wil je ook met zo'n topverblijf! En dat voor een prikkie voor onze normen.. een geweldige ervaring die we iedereen aanraden!!

Dolin and his family are wonderful people. We instantly felt at home. The rooms are very nice, the view is insane and the food, especially the fishtaco's, are to die for. We recommend this place 100%!!!
