Surrounded by mountain nature, Camp Ripan is a 10-minute car ride from Kiruna city centre. It offers free WiFi, in-room flat-screen TVs and traditional, seasonal Swedish and Sami food. We booked one of the chalets. It was very quiet and peaceful there. We loved the breakfast with a huge selection of healthy and fresh food. For the vegans out there - in Camp Ripan you will not starve! 😅

The front desk staff patiently answered all our questions about Kiruna. The breakfast was nice, and the room was clean with sufficient heating. It may be simple, like a hostel room, but it felt warm and comforting after a long, cold adventure outside. We could even see the aurora lights easily just behind the hostel, past the parking lot.
