We spontaneously spent a night at Hotell Luspen because the roads were frozen over and booked our room 2 hours before our (very) late night arrival. The staff was very welcoming and friendly and offered us hot tea to warm up. The rooms were modern, and clean, a requested extra duvet cover already in the room. The breakfast was incredible - a variety of coffee options, a lot of vegetarian items and the freshly baked bread rolls were an absolute highlight. At checkout we got helpful information about the roads and were warned about increased reindeer migration.

The hotel feels really modern, clean and the lighting and decor is really pleasant (like Nordic spartan), both in the rooms and the general areas. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. The foyer has a nice sitting area with arm-chairs, couches and faux furs. You can also grab a beer at the adjacent Paolo's and enjoy it in comfort. The in-house restaurants are handy and the food was quite nice, especially in the Miss Voon restaurant at the top of the hotel - great view from up there too. The breakfast was really good. A good mix of foods, juices & hot drinks with different dietary options too. Handy case storage behind reception if you check out and have time to kill. Its in a very convenient location, as the bus terminal is about 200m away, and you are situated right in the heart of town. It's also a stop for the Skelleftea airport shuttle bus, which is ideal.

Situated in the heart of Umeå, Elite Hotel Mimer faces the Twin Towns Park and the main commercial pedestrian street. Guests have free WiFi along with free access to a sauna and fitness centre. The staff is very helpful and even in a busy time like Christmas, they were still very cheerful and helpful. I also liked the location of the hotel, it was so easy to go the riverside, to the museums and the library as well. Being in a cold city, walkability is important i guess :) And the hotel is an old high school which was very well renovated

This central Umeå hotel is just 50 metres from the Umeälven River. It provides free Wi-Fi, an on-site restaurant and bar, as well as modern rooms with a flat-screen satellite TV. The location was very convenient. Everything was easily accessible by walking - shopping, restaurants, bus and train stations. The breakfast was exceptional. The hours were reasonable, the selection was great, and the food was delicious. The atmosphere of the hotel was great. It was an older building, but obviously had been completely updated, so it had a lot of character but was very comfortable. The eating area was in a large glass covered courtyard that really added to the experience.
