Location was ideal. Just a few hundred yards from the motorway. Didn’t have breakfast this time, but previous visits it was very good.

The hostel is a 5-minute walk from the bus and train stations. The furnishings are new, the plumbing is in excellent condition. Everything is simple and functional. Quiet place. The staff is professional. In case of early departure (we had to catch the first bus to the airport at 04.30), there is a possibility of a light breakfast on the first floor, behind the lobby. I recommend it.

We only stayed for 1 night, but used the parking space and shuttle bus to and from the airport. The transfers were easy and went very smooth. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. Communication with the staff was great. I would stay here again for early morning or late night flights.

If you are looking for something with uncommon - that’s Your place. If you’re looking for host that will leave the main door open for you in the middle of the night- that’s Your place. If you’re looking for an out-of-the-ordinary conversation partner - that’s Your place. If you’re looking for beautiful, original “la fin du siècle” house and cosy furniture - that’s Your place. If you’re looking for sterile, corporate environment - it’s not a place for you. It’s my place definitely. Did not expect such a thing there. Will come back 100%. Thanks Philippe :)

Well located, easy to find, easy ton enter.

There are two lockboxes from which the guests obtain the keys to the building and the flat; process is super easy and the host provided instructions and directions in advance of arrival. The flat I stayed at (Walliefolie) was very comfortable and spacious - I was staying there alone most of the time, bar one night when I had a visiting friend spend the night. The flat was clean and well looked after, everything worked, including the complimentary WiFi and Netflix subscription. Charleroi itself was an incredibly interesting city for me to visit, very post-industrial but full of absolutely lovely people, some of the nicest I've met. If you are staying at Sophie's flat, do visit Le Chien Vert, a cosy bar just round the corner which is run and frequented by some of the friendliest people I've met. I cannot recommend them enough. The centre of Charleroi, including the railway station, are within easy walking distance. Bit furthero out, I definitely recommend a day trip to the industry and coal mining museum of Bois du Cazier. I'd say Charleroi is also a great base to explore the rest of Wallonie and Belgium. Can't wait to return!

I LOVED the apartment. It was super central and easy to get to! Very near public transport and the town centre. It's the perfect location. The flat was so clean and very well decorated. You can tell Sofie has put a lot of time and effort into the accommodation. The kitchenette was perfect, kettle and toaster. Pots and pans, plates etc all available to use. The fridge and freezer space was very handy! The bathroom was spotless and had everything I needed, toilet paper, soap and shower gel/shampoo. Also a great big floor length mirror and big windows for lots of light. Nice lounge with TV and couch. TV has Netflix too! The bedroom was a mezzanine which is so cool! There's a little balcony which gives off really trendy vibes! The bed was so comfy too! Sofie the host is amazing, she is so helpful and so kind! I have definitely made a friend for life. Travelling as a solo female traveller I felt very safe in the apartment and the area. I can't wait to come again my stay was amazing.

Amazing place to stay , it’s got a jukebox , PlayStations a massive tv a stand up arcade machine and a pinball machine Best place I’ve booked in Brussels by far
