Accommodation in Minca

Pretty much everything was exceptional from start to finish. If you were designing a hostel it would be like this one. The staff, the location, the vibes and facilities were all excellent. Very long to get to but 100% worth the effort- we walked from Minca and to Marinka is nice but does get tough after that.

Great hostel. The rooms are clean, the shower hot, the pool is nice and there is enough space around it. Views are exceptional and the on-site restaurant exceptional. Also conventionally located, close to Pozo Azul and hidden waterfall. Moto taxi to the village is just 5k.

Chunuu was an incredible value and had everything you could ever need - breakfast included, parking, they let you fill up your water bottles at the bar, AC in the room, direct river access, amazing pool, you can pay by card… and much more! Absolutely the best place we stayed in Colombia. I would’ve stayed a month if I could - 2 nights was nowhere near enough.

The restaurant exceeded my expectations, it was the best restaurant I've had in Colombia so far. The portion size of the breakfast was excellent. The coffee was unlimited, hot and so delicious. I was most surprised with the comfort and quality of the beds.

This place was magical, we heard and saw so many birds directly in front of our "room", which was more or less a house we had to our own, surrounded by nature and hammocks. It was not too close to town so it was pretty calm, but also not too far out, it was possible to walk about ten minutes to restaurants and shops. The breakfast and food in general were great. We loved the fact that - compared to other accomodations around - they had mosquito nets at the windows, so you could feel the breeze at night, but not have (too many) insects in the room.

Exceptional views of nature and Santa Marta. Birds around you. Helpful staff. Out of everyday world.

I loved everything about my stay. It’s super well organized, they don’t try to rip you off, the food is excellent, the bar is great, the staff is super friendly, the pool is amazing. Highly recommended!

Really enjoyed this stay. Large, spacious room, hot water in showers, large and tasty breakfast, very friendly staff. The location is basically at the center of Minca, so it's not as deep in nature as some lodges that are higher in the mountains, but I found this to be an advantage as I could hike in a different direction each day - plus, all the shops, services, transportation, and restaurants were really close. Amazing mountain view from the balcony. Hope to come back here some day.

I would summarize my stay as follows: Minkanta was a place where the hostel had super comfortable double beds and hot showers, which pleasantly surprised me, but that's not where my adventure ended. I stayed on a Saturday, and the bar at night was incredible, with great music, a bonfire, amazing cocktails, and people from all over the world enjoying themselves in one place. The prices are affordable, they had a cocktail happy hour all night long, and not to mention the delicious food. Highly recommended if you want a place to make friends and have a few good shots. This is the place.

Our stay at Sintropia was the highlight of our two week trip in Colombia. I had been looking forward to the visit due to the rave reviews and photos- and it exceeded even my high expectations. The finca is one of the furthest out of Minca, but due to this is perched high above the sea with incredible views both morning and evening of the lush forest surroundings. The cabins are beautifully decorated and you wake to a chorus of birds right outside your balcony. We even spotted a toucan one morning! Luis and his family have created such a calm and stunning space with only three cabins and three rooms available to stay- you truly feel like you are in a small slice of paradise. The sunsets from the viewpoint are out of this world! Luis also took us on an excellent tour around the finca and explained all the work he has put into the property over the last two years- truly impressive. Don't hesitate to book here- and stay as many nights as you can! We only had two and wished we could have stayed for a week.

Friendly staff who were always on hand, rooms were clean, location was excellent right in the centre of town. The breakfast was decent (fruit, eggs, bread, juice, coffee) and we were allowed to store our bags as well as check in early.

Perfect place in the centre of Minca. The room was clean, there is also a kitchen for cooking and the owner is a very friendly person. I definitely recommend.

The host family was really nice and attentive,we particularly enjoyed the terrace with beautiful views. The place is quiet at night and neat.

I stayed for 5 nights and had a wonderful stay. The bed is super comfy, the bathroom is huge with great water pressure, and the private balcony is so peaceful and lets fresh air into the room with mosquito net or can be completely closed. There are also fans that work great. Regarding the owner, Romaric, he obviously works hard on this property, and I found him to be super helpful, and one of his knowledgeable friends (the Irish man) helped me plan a hike because I was looking for something a bit longer and challenging. This place is literally ON a mountain side, IN lush greenery, everything is natural/made with wood or fibre, and the price is so reasonable... what more can people ask for?

Staff were super helpful even before arrival. Upgraded to room with aircon as we arrived in a heatwave. Good breakfast on the balcony with humming birds was a fab experience.
