Beautiful, tranquil, relaxing hotel surrounded by forestry and backing onto a wonderful beach. We had an amazing stay at the Dragonfly. we loved the calm space, watching birds and animals pass by, spending time on the beach. The villa was smallish but had everything we needed and was comfortable. Shops and local attractions were all no more than 15 minutes away. Anya the manageress was always on hand to help. Looking forward to returning

If you're looking for ideal hosts- Andrea and James - would fulfill your expectations. They are wonderful people with lots of good energy, which share among the others. If you're looking for a place in the jungle, away from people (also away from the sea - about 30 min. driving) oasis of peace, you have just found it. There you can feel totally free and discreet. I fully recommend this place!

This was exactly what we needed. The location was amazing - right on the beach and the staff were fantastic. It wasn’t too busy with a relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious as was the food in general and the cocktails (including our welcome one!). The room had some frills - 2 fridges and very comfy new beds. We loved hanging out with the team and listening to the local Calypso band. I’d highly recommend this place for a laid-back low key beach stay.

Beautiful property, great pool, beautiful room. Frog ponds were pretty neat and we saw a few red-eyed tree frogs on the night it rained. One of the most lovely hotels we booked in Costa Rica. Would recommend it to a friend.

If you are looking for a hotel in the center of Puerto Viejo, just a 5-minute walk from the main street, yet quiet and surrounded by nature, I highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are very nice and spacious, overlooking the hotel’s inner garden, which creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Each room has rocking chairs at the entrance, perfect for unwinding. The staff was extremely friendly, including the owner, who gave us excellent advice on tours and places to visit. Overall, our 5-day stay was exceptional.

Unique accommodations, Friendly Staff, amazingly close to the sea. Better than most accommodations in this area : REAL, warm vibes, food and people. Not the usual hotel and not luxury, Arrecife is a family owned special GEM !
