The location is wonderful, probably unique, high on the valley side, in quiet forest. Many of the guests will be coming and going daily walking the Malerweg, but access to this amazing location is also possible by forest track and car. There’s the possibility of a wonderful breakfast overlooking the beautiful Saxon Switzerland landscape, before a day walking the trails. Very nice evening meals available upto 18.30, but there’s also very good inns and restaurants in the surrounding villages if you are out later. There is also a free pass that allows you to use local trains, buses and ferry’s to explore the area, which is a great idea and cuts down on people driving. We had a great time walking sections of the Malerweg using the passes to get to starting points and walking back to a lovely meal as the sunset and a comfortable bed with nothing but the sound of the wind in the trees to lull you to sleep!

First of all I need to clarify that check-in in this hotel is NOT limited to 14:00-16:00 as this is mentioned by Booking.com, but rather not having any time limits !! -- we were stressed to arrive to hotel before 16:00, while this was not needed at all ;-)) -- In fact once you arrive to hotel you contact the property, and they will provide you a code and point you to the key-box to unlock with the given code. In the key-box you'll find the key for your room and the key to enter the hotel. That's all !! -- and this is regardless the time you're arriving !! ;-)) Now, once this point is covered, all you need to know is that this hotel is on the very beautiful country side, and in the past was one of the famous places for the rally race !! -- the history of this time of rally races in the past is very present in this hotel, and you may discover many interesting and surprising things for yourself ! Additionally the hotel is very clean, comfortable, quiet -- all you need for the great staying or a short pause along your traveling. Not to forget a very nice breakfast you get in the morning !! -- and people in hotel are so kind, that you just feel good from the first minutes of staying ;-)) And of course just bear by you have a city of Dresden where you can spend days and nights and still discover something new on every next visit..

This apartment was a wonderful base for our all too brief 3 night stay. The apartment is large, clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Plus it had a balcony! The location on a quiet street overlooking the park but just steps away from the centre of town and the Kirnitzschtalbahn is hard to beat. Communications with the host were friendly and helpful.

The location is about 20 minutes from the ferry/S Bahn. The room is very clean, cozy and welcoming, with the forest in the back. It has a lovely garden. Key pick-up process is easy, and the breakfast is amazing with so many choice of marmalades. The staff are all friendly. I find the shower very comfortable. Definitely worth the money and want to visit again!

The place is very cosy, comfortable and freshly-renovated, at the very center of Königstein, with a view of the Königstein fortress. I chose it mainly because it was pet-friendly, and we traveled with our cat who turned out to be their first feline guest. The staff was really helpful, and accommodated all our requests, even helped me order a surprise birthday cake for my husband. Thank you to Sylvia for bearing with all my questions and showing incredible hospitality!
