Accommodation in Schwangau

We stayed for four nights. What I loved best are the views of Schloss Neuschwanstein from our bedroom, and the one from the Lisl Restaurant where the hotel served breakfast. The breakfast spread was also superb. There are salmon, trout, champagne, various fresh juices, cereal, different kinds of bread, honeycomb, fruits, cold cuts, bacon, ham, and more. The hotel spa is spacious and clean. The staff - especially at the front desk are friendly and helpful. The Alpsee lake is a few meters away. The Ameron facade faces the Hohenschwangau which is beautifully illuminated at night as it emits an amber glow. It snowed all five days and four nights that we were in the propertly from 23 December to 27 December turning the area into a truly fairytale Winter wonderland! Nearby is another hotel restaurant, The Schloss Bräustüberl where we were treated to a sumptuous three-course Christmas eve dinner Fondue. The hotel bar, Ludwig served excellent soups and mocktails. I also loved the fireplace at the lobby. Mineral water were included in the board. The bed was very comfortable. The room was cleaned everyday but you had the option to forgo it for the good of the environment, and in exchange, the hotel will give you a voucher to exchange for a drink at Ludwig bar. A stay in the hotel gives the guest free access to the spa with multiple kinds of sauna and facilities. From the spa, you have a view of the Alpsee lake.

Great Service! Michaela was a fantastic host, very helpful and nice. The location was great, very close to the castles and with free parking. Breakfast is very good value for money as is eating at their restaurant in the evening. Overall very satisfied!

We had the most wonderful and relaxing stay. The staff are all excellent, from the check in counter, to the doorman, the waiter and waitress as well as the spa. I recommend trying the reflexology treatment at the spa.

Very professional owner of Haus Alpenrose. Parking available for guests. Very good location for visiting nearby mountain attractions and castles.

Exceptional hotel, very well built and designed. Friendly, helpful staff and good buffet breakfast with fresh filter coffee served each morning! All rooms were spacious, and great to have a terrace off the bedroom.

I loved my stay there! It was the best decision to stay close to Neuschwanstein castle. From the hotel you can walk there through the valley, admiring the stunning views. The hotel feels cosy, it’s comfortable, well located and breakfast buffet was excellent! Thank you!

We choose this place for it being in vicinity of Castle Neuschwanstein. For excursions there, even walking, this is a great place. The owners are super nice and provide you with clear instructions to checkin, also after hours. They serve a very good breakfast, which leaves nothing to be asked. The rooms, spread across several buildings are well equipped and they have a rustique charme. The owners even provide fridges in the buildings, an extra perk we were not expecting! There are plenty of parking spaces around for all guests. Everything is very clean.

Super clean, nice staff (good communication through Booking app), good space for luggage, spacious wardrobe with a few hangers, good view of castle from the room, good kitchen, almost next to Kristall Therme spa, quiet area, bus comes right next to the Haus.

Excellent location, walking distance to a bakery, supermarket, pharmacy, and the tourist information. Very well equipped kitchen meant we could cater for ourselves nicely, the car park was just behind the apartment and all the local sights just minutes away. The host was very helpful and friendly, we couldn't have wished for more.
