Accommodation in Calatañazor

Location not to be missed. Views from our window to die for. Staff spoke little English but were prepared to put up with my poor Spanish. We got along fine. Lovely people.

Breakfast was great - a fascinating historic place

The hotel 'manager' was a really friendly guy who went out of his way to help us and advise. The location is remote in a wonderful way with stunning wildlife and beautiful views. Really relaxed and quiet away from it all. No towns close I think the nearest one is about 16k away but that suited us fine. There's a little shop in the quaint little place. If you're looking for hustle and bustle its not for you if you want the feel of a remote Spanish hamlet it certainly is. We loved it.

Super friendly staff, quite a few that spoke English really well, which was great as my Spanish is very poor. The room (III) was nice, lovely furniture. Bathroom good size, clean and good shower. Breakfast was simple but good. If you happen to stay for dinner... that is absolutely out of this world. Fine dining. The food is amazing, we were talked through the menu with a lot of lovely for regional dishes and quality of food. Absolutely one of the highlights of our holiday 😀

The host and owner is a wonderful woman, and the dinner at the adjacent restaurant, El Palomar, was excellent!

All you need in one place! Hotel, restaurant and fuel station! Very good value for money and best place to stay if you are driving between Burgos and Zaragoza. The rooms are clean, the food is nice. At night you will have a menu del dia at 15,50 euros (starter, main, dessert, drink and bread). Easy and safe to park.
