Top location and fantastic breakfast, with fresh fruits, juice, dried ham eggs, tomatos, sweets and good coffe. Very nice staff.

Staff is 10/10. Room is sparkling clean. Breakfast is good enough. Best value for money less than 2min drive from Potes. Why choosing something else? Maybe for a more comfortable bed?

Amazing luxurious apartment with stunning mountain views. Could park our motorcycles out of sight. A calm alternative to staying in Potes, where all the restaurants are, as it is a pleasant 15 minute walk into town. Potes itself is a beautiful town.

We really enjoyed the place and we recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful option with great views, very good food and very friendly people. We enjoyed the terrace for a relaxing drink at sunset and also very good dinner at really good prices. Our room was very spacious, yet a little uncomfortable in some parts being an attic. The bed is big and very comfortable, bathroom very big and also comes with a bidet, not common in Spain. Highly recommended for a few days to visit Picos de Europa and surroundings. Very friendly owners, it’s a only a shame that our spanish is quite limited so we couldn’t have a lot of conversation. Added bonus: two lovely dogs! Probably the best tomatoes we have had in years!

El Azufral turned out to be a bullseye for us. We extended our stay for 5 days. On our rented electric bikes (from El Portal de Picos in Potes), the Posada felt like homecoming. You have to climb a bit to get there, but what else would you expect in the Picos de Europa? Once our bikes were charged and locked, we were treated to a delicious homemade meal in a cosy dining room, with our hostess offering attentive service and communicating warmly via Google Translate. In this welcoming setting, we enjoyed the peace and quiet and the tasteful decor of the beautiful house. The room was perfect, clean, with a good bed and shower, mosquito nets on the windows, and a balcony with a lovely view of the green hills.

The Posada was very quiet and in a very calm location. This was one of the quietest places we have been in Picos de Europa, and it is very well located at the same time.

Very large and comfortable room. The reception staff were very welcoming and let me store my bicycle overnight in the hotel. The room was a little dated but absolutely fine and a fan was provided. The location couldn’t be better, right in the heart of Potes, which is beautiful. There are lots of restaurants and shops within metres. I’d certainly stay here again.

Very comfortable and spacious new appartments, well cleaned, with free parking lot in front of the building. There is a reception at the building entrance at certain hours. We got a great value deal for our stay. The location is ideal when you travel by car and visit Potes and Picos de Europa. Exceeding our expectation. Note: there is also a cheap gas-station at 2 min. drive down the N621 to fill-up your car.

The staff were obliging in every way and so friendly. As the name suggests it’s a historic building, completely clean and comfortable and beautiful inside

The property itself is beautiful , lovely design, very cosy, warm (we stayed in april so it was important), in historical center with a possibiilty to park in front of the property. The floor with a fireplace is very romantic. Elena, the host was always online and open for all our enquires and questions. She knows good restaurants around, she let us stay till late afternoon, as she did not have guests the next day. So it was very helpful to have such a host. If we ever come back, we will stay here again. Absolutely recommend.

Fantastic location on the main plaza....but...it was very very quiet. When we arrived it was 35°C and the apartment was lovely and cool. There was everything we need in the super clean apartment, including a bottle of water in the fridge. We genuinely couldn't fault it.

This place is very special, ancient and modern mix effortlessly in this boutique style accommodation. Loved it as soon as we arrived. A very special experience with super hosts. Central location, fabulous quirky restaurant attached.
