One of the original stone houses in Portes this accommodation was full of character and was located just metres from the town centre and numerous restaurants, bars and shops. It was beautifully decorated, well equipped, and was perfectly located as a base to explore the surrounding area. The check-in process was straightforward, and the host was extremely helpful prior to check-in and also during our stay.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the property. It was very comfortable, clean, well appointed and within easy walking distance to everything in Potes. The view from the lounge was beautiful and it was lovely being able to sit & watch the changing light on the mountains.

Fantastic location on the main plaza....but...it was very very quiet. When we arrived it was 35°C and the apartment was lovely and cool. There was everything we need in the super clean apartment, including a bottle of water in the fridge. We genuinely couldn't fault it.

Absolutely beautiful property, a lot of care has gone into the refurbishment with beautiful details and furnishings. Well equipped. Amazing location in the old town, quiet but very close to all amenities and bars and restaurants. A wonderful host with great communication who was so helpful. Would thoroughly recommend this beautiful property.

Charming town in the middle of the Picos with lots of shops,...

Charming town in the middle of the Picos with lots of shops, restaurants and cafes to choose from. We stayed there on a motorcycle tour and the roads are fantastic. The weather in early October was great for us, nice and warm and sunny. We loved it and will be returning.

Potes is a great base to explore the Picos de Europa.

Potes is a great base to explore the Picos de Europa. Good restaurants include the Mexican Las Mañantas, or for steak and cured meets Asador Llorente. The two local supermarkets are well stocked but remember are closed on Sundays.

Absolutely great location to stay & explore on a motorbike.

Absolutely great location to stay & explore on a motorbike. Main thing to remember is to avoid the restaurants in the centre that are over priced with poor service & substandard food & are probably the downside of the entire region. There are an abundance of great cafes, bars & restaurant's all around the back streets & well worth exploring. This really is one picturesque town with allot to offer just take the time to find the gems & avoid the obvious tourist traps.

The journey coming into Potes from all directions is...

The journey coming into Potes from all directions is stunning with the mountains, gorges and forests. The town is historically beautiful and the walk opportunities aplenty with degrees of difficulty. Absolutely a must place to go too. The cable car a must do and consider the 14km walk down that is graded moderate but my opinion moderate - difficult. With lots of boggy areas. Spotted many farm animals and those large farm animal protection dogs. And a bonus spotted 2 small deer and had an encounter with a friendly and curious donkey. Potes offers many places to wine and dine and the township is easy to walk and if driving several free car parking lots are available.

A small town with a range of facilities to suit most requirements, pharmacy, supermarkets, bars, museum, restaurants too many to list. Good options to eat at all budget levels, take-aways, bars and restaurants. Our favourite place to eat was at the Casa Cabo, pizza, burger and sandwich bar, serving freshly made food at a great price with a very friendly atmosphere! A few minutes further into town...Donde XAVI, luscious ice-cream served till late in the evening, perfect for a evening walk along the river which flows through the town.

Ours was a group of 6 motorcycle riders here to explore the mountain roads, bars and restaurants. Opening times for some establishments hit and miss but early in the season (end May) Beautiful town with breathtaking scenery on the doorstep. There are some good restaurants, the beer very nice ! The locals are extremely friendly and go the extra mile, many don’t speak English and we found google translate good for those difficult situations. The main road from Santander is undergoing repair and can cause delays. Will definitely return.

A fantastic apartment with a large outdoor terrace in the heart of Potes. A large secure garage for several cars or up to 10 motorcycles. Spotlessly clean, well appointed with comfortable beds. Would definitely not hesitate to stay here again. Such good value for money considering how large the apartment is.

Very friendly family run hotel. Ideal for touring with lovely breakfasts. Owner was really helpful and made space for our classic car amongst the visiting motorbikes. Would definitely recommend. Potes is a really lovely little town with excellent walking options

Great location near the centre of Potes . Beautifully clean hotel . Breakfast is continental, but plentiful !. Rear carpark , with undercover area for motorcycles, if your lucky to find a space . All in all , a fab place to stay.
