It was a very pleasant stay in Soly’s homestay. Conveniently located close to a bus stop and a main road. Our room was perfectly clean. Breakfast freshly prepared with local dishes. We could was our clothes which was amazing after a week of travel. Soly and her husband treated us nicely like their family :) Thank you again!

If you check reviews for this place on booking.com and Google they score next to perfect. And there is a reason for this - this was the best homestay I stayed at in India and it wasn't even close! The family are so warm and kind. I ate dinner and breakfast both days and the food was AMAZING. Jubia is a talented cook. Rooms are spotless and a good size with a balcony. The only negative thing you will see people mention in their reviews is the homestays distance from Munnar. But not me! Munnar is nice, but it is BUSY. Buses, cars, people, noise, honking. This homestay is so picturesque and quiet all you can hear is birdsong. I wanted a peaceful stay in the western ghats and this is exactly what I got. The bus to Munnar is 35rupees and takes 40 minutes with unreal views all the way and they are every 10 minutes so getting there is easy. There is lots to do in the area and the family can help organise excursions too if that is what you're after. I was fortunate enough on one of mine to see 5 wild elephants drinking in the river which will stay with me forever. Thank you Jubia, Jaan and family for an amazing stay. You deserve all the success you get!

Beautiful location, clean and modern design with quite a few spaces for yoga, chilling, playing games or even having a dip in the hot tub. The staff were so so kind! They even packed us a lunch for our bus ride (by the way, the food is amazing, especially the dinner. The breakfast is also really good - big selection, fresh and included)

We really enjoyed our stay at Blackcherry Munnar. The location was perfect for us, and our room had a spectacular view. We enjoyed spending time relaxing and enjoying the view over the tea fields and mountains. Of particular note was the beautiful food that Sylvie prepared for us. We ended up eating all of our meals here, and everything was so delicious! Our favourites were the parotta and chicken curry set, the fish curry, vegetarian kerala style meals and the fish fry (but everything was really good). Sylvie also took us for a local sightseeing tour which we enjoyed very much. Her family are all very nice as well.

Pepper county farm is a beautiful place. The room/house is spotless and thought out very well, with a desk and possibilities to place your stuff. It's placed in a beautiful garden, away from the street and one can listen to the sounds of nature. The breakfast is outstanding and Bony, the host one of a kind. He is a true local who loves and knows those mountains and their hidden gems, makes you feel at home, organizes well-planned, fascinating trips and is a great person to talk to. I can't think of a better place to stay and explore the region around Munnar.
