I recently had the opportunity to stay at Maliyeckal Homestay in Munnar, and was blown away by the warmth and hospitality of the family who runs it. The whole family was so lovely, supper attentive, keen to help and make a great stay. The house itself is in a beautiful place in the middle of nature, one bus away from Munnar which is easy to take. The family suggests plenty of activities and help you plan transport, proide contacts for tours, etc. they even offer cooking classes, and the food they provide is simply delicious. The room was spacious, comfortable and had everything I needed. As a woman solo traveler, felt super safe and taken care of by the family. This place has so much soul, so much that I extended my stay. wish that I will be back in there in the future.

Our stay at Mudhouse Marayoor was incredible! This place was the highlight of our trip to Kerala. The setting is charming, our room was spacious and beautifully decorated, and every detail was thoughtfully arranged. The food was amazing, and the staff was incredibly kind and attentive—we loved everything! The surroundings are stunning as well. We highly recommend taking the bikes to explore the area and going on the 45-minute walk to the waterfalls. Don’t hesitate to book—this place is truly breathtaking. I hope we get the chance to come back!

Breathtaking mountain views dotted with tea fields. Delicious food, prepared by the owner herself -- the flavors are authentic, you eat as much you can. The family running Blackcherry Munnar are very warm, helpful and open people. They also offer many additional attractions -- just express your desire and you will surely find something for yourself. We took advantage of the cooking lessons and also a one-day, fully organized trip that the hostess took us on, thanks to which we had the opportunity to see several secret gems in the area. An amazing experience, we recommend this place to anyone visiting Munnar! We hope to come back there someday. :)
