A special little guesthouse, the host was amazing and offered us dinner (the most delicious soups) and a great breakfast and was very nice and welcoming. The rooms were a little old (the door non fell down) but they were big comfortable and very unique. It all felt like a true homey iceland experience The location is nice and dark enough to see the northern light on a good night Loved this place! (Photos are bad cause I couldn’t upload the video for some reason)

Berglind was awesome. She was so friendly and fun to talk with. We got to see her beautiful horses and walk around the property and she was very knowledgeable about the area and all things Icelandic. There's even a hot spring coming out of the river on her property. It was so fun to stay in the tower climb up and down the winding stairs and just admire how it was constructed. The view from the top is spectacular and a perfect place to have a glass of wine, admire the view and watch the horses. We were very fortunate to see the northern lights while there, even though it was August.

Grímsstaðir holiday home - Family friendly is a recently renovated villa in Reykholt where guests can make the most of the garden and barbecue facilities.
