Exceptionally friendly staff, good taste of decoration and selection of utensils, good recommendations for place to go, and overall a very comfortable experience in Himi. I also like the photo book of the local students. Notice also that the location is great, 4 mins walking from JR station and there’s a bus station right next to the hostel that takes you to Takaoka station when you leave.

I had a great time there! I had to change plans on the fly and found this gem Himi! The host was super friendly and willing to help and even chat, she performed an amazing tea ceremony when I arrived. Room was plenty spacious, and there the possibility to set up a warm bath in a classic wooden japanese bathroom open air. Definitely a great place to stay while visiting around Himi
