Wonderful location. The staff are professional and friendly. Room facilities were excellent. Everything I needed was provided. The rooms are modern and spotlessly clean. Beds were incredibly comfortable.

Moritosha is an extraordinary place! I can highly recommend this place. Hotel is clean, breakfast was yummy, and the hotel caretaker - Maki? She is absolutely professional and so kind. Also - Johana town has so many to offer! That was one of my two best hotel in Japan on this trip :)

Very kind people running the ryokan. I accidently left an umbrella that I borrowed from them at the nearby store, and the lady said don't worry about it and that she'll get it. It was very genuine. Was only a few other people staying at the time I was there, so it was very quiet. And the bathhouse was a very relaxing and unique experience. Many amenities are surprisingly provided as well, and as soon as I checked in the gentleman provided me hot tea. Was very good value for the money... I just wish there was more to do in Takaoka, but there's some decent day trips you can take from there. Would without a doubt stay there again if I went to Takaoka.
