Tosayama base is amazing. The house is comfortable and spacious, in a quiet area and natural setting. It’s well appointed with tatami rooms and kitchen, washer/dryer, etc. Akio and his family were delightful hosts - kind, super accommodating and helpful, and the breakfast provided was exceptional - it’s of the quality you might have from a professional chef. This was unexpected but amazing. I would gladly stay here every time I’m in Kochi in the future.

The staff was incredibly friendly from the receptionist to the restaurant staff to the parking attendant; they all made us feel welcomed! The staff was kind enough to stay after the check-in hours to accomodate us. The room was very spacious and clean and I really liked the set-up. It is ideal for large groups too. The beds were comfortable and the facilities were great. I also liked the location. We will definitely book again.

Nothing bad to say about Katsuo Guesthouse. The owners are super friendly, and they upgraded me from the dorm room to a private room for free! The facilities are excellent, everything clean and comfy. Very handy map of the area and info provided as well. Wish I had stayed longer!
