Its next to the main road, but traffic is not a lot on weekdays and as the house has its own fence, it blocks direct sound from the road. For night time, you would not hear a thing.

This was a truly memorable and awesome stay for us in Kumano. We were kindly welcomed in a house filled with figurines, games and toys from the early 2000s. The host was extremely kind and even helped us set up a projector to watch a movie! One of the most unique stays we’ve experienced in Japan so far! There’s also an incredible restaurant nearby called 食堂あお where the owner speak English and we got to taste the best fish we’ve ever had! Overall highly recommend!!

Great service( hosts were kind to make me supper since there were no restaurant open, reservation made by the host for the following day was great), awesome food ( breakfast especially the juice) and ease of communication and very responsive host made my stay extra special!

An incredibly beautiful property in a sweet area, with some very tasty cheesecake to boot! The hosts were all so warm and friendly, it was a very comfortable stay and the room was very well equipped too.

The owners are so enthusiastic and helpful, and treated us like family. Even though we were only there a short time , it was a very special stay . The location was great , close to restaurants and the ocean . It was very clean and comfortable and excellent value for money . I would highly recommend this place, we loved it and would have loved to stay longer and get to know the people better .

Gigantic room, super quiet, the bath was super nice. If you order the food (not included) it is delicious (was not vegetarian maybe you need to ask in advance for that). Staff friendly. Had a very nice stay. Supermarket nearby

The absolutely kind and warm owners, family that greeted us with fresh orange juice and deliciois homemade cheesecake. Despite the language barrier (they only speak a few words of english), they were very helpful with any information on the places to explore in the region. Very lovely stay

The family who own this guesthouse are warm and welcoming; they greeted us when we arrived and were very helpful with local recommendations. You can get to 鬼ヶ城 easily as it’s just around the corner. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay again!
