A great change from staying in hotels. Really feel like you are living in a traditional Japanese village. The bath was absolutely amazing and saved our life as it was very cold weather when we came.

It's good value for the price. The owner is nice. I did not tell check-in time, the owner started air conditioner for us. After check-in, we could have a cool room to stay immediately. It has beautiful scenery around hotel, and big garden in the hotel. It's about 15 minutes drive to get a supermarket.

We even could use the private Onzens pools from the guest house. Kanabe is an amazing host and very helpfull. This stay was so wonderful. We had some storms overnight and the rain was hitting the roof very hard. With this fluffy blankets it felt so cosy here.

It's a super nice guesthouse. Although the building seems old from the outside it's been renovated and is spotlessly clean. Our room (15) was really nice and above all very clean. The shared toilet(s) were very very clean. There is a shared living room and kitchen. Both very well equipped. The beach house is 3 minutes walking from the beach. The parking spot was less than a minute from the house. We've enjoyed one breakfast (be aware that you have to book it in advance) and it was excellent. The beach close by has a public bathroom and the opportunity to buy some snacks and drinks. The water was really clean and our kids thoroughly enjoyed the sea. The owners were super super nice and helpful. Overall the price was fantastic for the quality we got.

Lovely place to stay in a quiet spot. Beautiful beach just a short walk away and really enjoyed basing here to explore the Tango Peninsula. Kitchen/lounge was well equipped to self cater. Would stay again in the area!

We had a wonderful stay at this ryokan. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming throughout our visit. The food was comforting and delicious, and the whole inn had a beautiful traditional charm that made the experience feel very authentic. The view over the bay was lovely, the futons were very comfortable, and the onsen was beautiful and relaxing. Thank you again for the excellent service, and a special mention to our Nepalese waitress, who was extremely attentive and caring during our stay. We truly appreciated her kindness.

The location is a dream. The apartment is a wonderfully modernized home on the top of the coast of a little fishery village. Super calm, peaceful and an incredible view.

Our stay at Toemon was one of the most personal and memorable experiences of our trip to Japan. From the moment we arrived, Kanade and his family welcomed us with incredible warmth and kindness. Kanade picked us up from the train station and throughout our stay we felt genuinely cared for. When our youngest son got hurt, he immediately came to help us. As parents travelling far from home, his kindness and concern meant a great deal to us. We also loved the wonderful hospitality of Kanade’s family. Together, they created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere that Toemon felt much more personal than simply staying at an accommodation. A very special highlight was the traditional Japanese breakfast. It was beautifully prepared, absolutely delicious and one of those experiences that made our time in Japan feel truly authentic and special. Toemon itself is a lovely place to stay, but what really makes it exceptional are Kanade and his family. Their warmth, generosity and attention made us feel less like tourists and more like welcomed guests. We had a truly wonderful time and are leaving Toemon with very happy memories. We wholeheartedly recommend it to families and anyone looking for genuine Japanese hospitality and a warm, personal experience.
