Very Nice Hotel with exceptional views Excellent Breakfast Reception Staff friendly and helpful

View out the window to Miyajima was gorgeous. Loved the room with both beds and a futon tatami area. Breakfast was great. Heaps of options, fresh and yummy! Onsen was lovely! Shuttle bus from the station was great and timetabling of it was great for us to get in and out of town.

Breakfast was great, for the first time of my life, I called out chef and said thank you for the great meal.

We arrived when all the tourist took the ferry off and enjoyed the island by night! The morning, we woke up early before the first tourist came and enjoyed the city. Then we went hiking to hide from the mass and came down to enjoy the hotel onsen! The room are spacious and clean. The service is good, they try to speak your language and answered my annoying question about where to find the best umeshu. We even got free juice and manjus!

There is nothing I could fault about this resort. We even had private shuttle taking us to train terminal

We would specifically like to thanks a staff member named - Hiyase. She went out of her way to organise vegetarian food for us and spent more then 2 hours to help us. She politely refused to take any tip and mentioned, it was her job. We are blown away by her caring attitude and honesty. We wish her good luck.

Location was excellent, very handy to the ferry. Room was larger than most we have stayed in in Japan so far. Breakfast was great. Restaurant on the second floor was also excellent - great meals and push button service. Can definitely recommend the oyster meal set!

Beautiful rooms, friendly staff and the facilities were very clean. The breakfast and dinner were also excellent. Location is very close to the temple and to the ropeway.

Loved everything about it ! The private onsen was definitely a huge plus. The rooms were perfect. The meals were lovely and very copious. The location is perfect. I had lower expectations but this place exceeded all my expectations and was one of the highlights of my trip for sure.

Location was fantastic and within easy walking distance from the waterfront, the Tori Gate, the temples and the shopping strip. Once the sun goes down, all of the touristy shops close and the island becomes beautifully quiet. Book ahead for restaurants as there are not many open once the tourists go home. The ones that are open are fantastic though! This property is also pet friendly, with supplies provided to help clean up after your pet.

The most typical hotel (Ryokan) I had in my japanese travel. I liked the place (very quiet, far from the tourist crowds), the typically japanese food (breakfast and dinner) and the bath. And of course sleeping in a futon on the tatamis.

The staff was lovely, the room incredibly nice and clean, amazing if you want to have a full japanese experience. The breakfast was so nice as well.

Everything was perfect. We should have stayed longer than one night and would love to return. The home is beautiful, a blend of old world charm and preserved building techniques and modern luxuries, with every detail thought of. It is quiet and comfortable, very spacious, and excellently appointed with everything you could need. A large beautiful garden and sitting areas to enjoy it. An amazing location opposite the ferry, steps to Lawsons and easily walkable to everywhere on the Island. Felt like a real treat!

Very kind and fun host. Yoko was extremely nice to talk to. She even gave us a present for our honeymoon🙏🌳 These Futon's are the best ones I've ever slept on.

The staff were lovely, welcoming and helpful. They speak English and were always happy to help you. All meals were rich and made with delicious local products. The staff gave thoughtful explanations regarding the culture and traditions surrounding each food we ate, and gave tips on how to best enjoy each dish. The room was comfortable and large, with all equipments perfectly functional. An excellent option to enjoy "traditional" Japanese hotels. I would definitely stay again at this hotel without hesitation.

The host was exceptionally nice to us. The breakfast was very good, and the complimentary local beers were a really nice touch. Having the entire space to ourselves was good too.

Amazing room, location and views. Kaiseke dinner was expensive but superb and well worth it.
