Very friendly staff. Excellent dinner and breakfast. A very big choice of dishes for dinner. Everything was exceptionally tasty. The room was traditional and very comfortable to stay in.

Location next to Biwano Taki & Kazurabashi Bridge. Super nice and helpful staff. Great open-air bath. We had a relax stay here and super nice dinner & breakfast. We will come back again.

Our family adored our stay here! The house is incredible— cozy, functional, well designed and historic all in one. We really enjoyed spending time just at the house, especially after long days exploring the Iya Valley.

This place is amazing, we had the best night on the really comfortable futons and in this really pretty guesthouse ! The bath room is really spacious and the location is perfect if you plan on visiting the vine bridge early in the morning and you can get there easily by bus but I recommend going to the tourist point at the station you arrive in because google map doesn't give the best options here. But what was really amazing here was the owner who was really so nice and helpful, he did all he could to help us (two young students a bit lost sometimes) even while managing the whole place by himself. I highly recommend !

Great guest house in the quiet village of Awa Ikeda. From here you can take a train Oboke and then bus to the vine bridge, peeing boy, onsen and Scarecrow Village. These will be two separate day trips. Yukai, who worksite cafe , speaks great English and helped us figure out us schedule. Food in restaurant is great. We especially like the lunch sets! Grocery and hardware store within walking distance. Also a local Sake brewery you can tour! Amazing 3 night stay! Would highly recommend.

First, I went to check in at their restaurant (HESO SALON, which btw I highly recommend, I had dinner there), then I walked to the HESO CAMP (just 10 mins away on foot). It's a beautiful traditional Japanese house. I had a huge room to myself, it was perfectly clean and I slept like a baby. The innkeeper, whom I met a the restaurant) is very friendly, helpful and also speaks great English. Very positive experience, great value for money!
