Accommodation in Naoshima

Most beautiful accommodation we have stayed in during our time in Japan! The view from the rooms and restaurant are priceless. On top, the stuff is just wonderful!

The yurts themselves were lovely, dinner was great, the location is amazing, and the staff were always helpful and friendly!

The apartment was spacious and was very well equipped with all sorts of extras. The kitchen had a good range of equipment. The bus stop was just around the corner and there were free bikes for guests to use. The owner organised free transport to the port for us. There are several restaurants nearby.

Comfortable beds, great shower/bath, quiet, use of bikes, location right at bus stop and near seashore, host drove us to e-bike rental as a courtesy. Ramen shop and Okonayami restaurant very close by. We arrived early and were able to check in. Location a short bus ride r a 20-minute walk from Honduran port.

We has a wonderful stay at Sana Mane Resort in Takayama. The service was excellent from start to finish—staff were attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was comfortable and seamless. The overall atmosphere was relaxing and well-maintained, making it a great place. The sauna experience was fantastic and really added to the overall sense. I would definitely recommend choosing an ocean view room rather than a forest view. The scenery is absolutely worth it and really enhances the experience. Overall, a fantastic stay and I’d happily return.

Stay at Yota’s house is truly a highlight of our trip, we are recommending it to all of our friends, so there will be more guests from Lithuania coming your way! Unique house feels like an immersive gallery, and Yota’s cooking is next level! One of our favorite meals during the trip! Definitely a great place to stay at when exploring the art islands.

The location was unexpected and absolutely stunning; the circular competition stadium was incredible.

Very cozy and very well maintained. Felt like home! Highly recommend eating dinner at the closeby restaurant Cafe Salon Nakaoku aswell.

The location is fantastic. The flat and the rest of the house are great. The owner is helpful and provided a lot of information and support. Couldn't recommend it more.

Everything was absolutely perfect! The accommodation was spotless, beautifully clean, and you could really see the attention to detail in every corner. Everything was thoughtfully prepared and made our stay incredibly comfortable. A special mention to the person who welcomed us, who was so kind and helpful from the moment we arrived. We truly felt very well taken care of. Without a doubt, this was the best stay of our entire trip to Japan. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it! ❤️

Clean, friendly staff and great location

The cottages are perfect for a short stay. We only had 1 night on the island. The luggage delivery service offered made life easy as we could just travel around the island either a day pack. Location wasxeasy walking distance from where yd ferry came. Found several places nearby for breakfast and coffee.

The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff were so welcoming and wonderful too! I had a great stay and would definitely come back when I visit Naoshima again!

This place is literally a 2 minute walk from the ferry terminal on Naoshima, very convenient :) Super colourful room, felt like crashing in a mates loungeroom and really comfortable. What ultimately set this place apart for me though, made it comparable to a 5 star resort.. was the reverse cycle air conditioner! It was cold and wet for a bit of the time I spent on Naoshima, and although I braved the elements and took in some beautiful art, it was a real comfort to know that I could come back to a toasty warm room :)

Lisa the host was extremely helpful. The property is beautiful, we really enjoyed the old charm mixed with the comfort of the modern bathroom. It was a very comfortable stay.

The location is excellent (three minutes walk from Naoshima New Museum of Arts and Mindmidera House project), the house is clean and has everything you need. The hosts are very nice (don't hesitate to ask about directions if you feel lost!), we enjoyed our stay very much!

Lovely former family home with 4 rooms. Our room had a 70's vibe. Run a great cafe across from guesthouse, as strict vegetarians we were really pleased, healthy and delicious. The fellow running the guesthouse was kind and lovely.Honmura is a better location than Myanoura, very low key, relaxed.Easy to walk around, didn't need the elusive bicycles we were unable to reserve.

The owner brought me to the ferry

The guesthouse is centrally located within the old town of Honmura, a short walk from the ferry port and the local bus stop connecting the town with all the art locations of the island. If you're interested in the Art House Projects, the guesthouse is perfect, in that you'll be staying in a similarly traditional old house built in the same style and materials. The guesthouse is occupied by the landlady, who is very friendly and helpful, and being her home it's very cosy and full of character. She has a little dog and several cats, and a charming peaceful garden in which you can have your breakfast. I really enjoyed my stay.

Beautiful cozy guesthouse overlooking Naoshima. A bit of an adventure to get up the hill, but so worth it! Cozy beds, nice facilities. So close to the Art houses and E-bike rental was great for the other museums. Would 100% come back! Thank you! ありがとうございます

Location was very good. Everything was perfect!

Johnny was super helpful to show us all sightseeing spots, fastest routes to combine all sites and even helped us book a dinner reservation, which is difficult on the island. The house is a traditional Japanese house and well maintained. A great stay on a beautiful island.
