Amazing stay, no words, honestly! Great design, big and comfortable rooms, bikes for your use to go to the city. Even though a bit remote from the train station (just 5min by taxi, 1000 yen)/main sightseeing spots, I would definitely choose it again any time. Very sweet and helpful personell. No restaurant in the hotel, but possible to buy food food there (pizza, snacks), kitchen very well equipment and a bit pricey but very nice steak restaurant available nearby (7 min walk). Laundry available. We were a group of 4 and stayed in the very comfortable lobby hanging out until midnight. Just amazing. Thank you!

A traditional home situated in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood about 10 minutes away from train station. There’s a communal kitchen and living room for use as well as a private onsen that you can reserve. Hiro, the host, is very accommodating and will provide rides when needed. His English is really good and his sense of humour even better. His knowledge of the area and itinerary suggestions worked very well for us. We’d highly recommend the local izakaya 800m from his place.

Well designed, modern villa with plenty of space, plenty of sunlight, and beautiful views through all the windows. Kitchen and washing machine were easy to use, and all appliances were modern. Bath with hot spring water was incredible. Quiet little cafe right across the road serves decent coffee. The walk into town was lovely, but a bit of a steep walk coming back up. Easier with a taxi.

The Nikko Nishimachi Club a la touto is located within a short walking distance to 4 area Temples/Shrines. Our suite was spacious and comfortable. The hotel offers wonderful private spa access on each floor which can be reserved in advance (there is a nominal spa tax which is paid during checkout). Some free drinks were provided in the room fridge along with some simple snacks (chips/crisps). Bathrobes, pajamas and quality toiletries are also provided. The staff was very courteous and helpful, always using a translation app when needed to ensure a clear understanding. Local cafes and restaurants can have odd hours or closing days, so just be aware. The Indian restaurant above the nearby Lawsons was very good, as well as the crepes in the cafe next door, when open. A visit to the local tourist information center was very helpful. The hotel reimbursed our taxi fees from the train station upon arrival and welcomed us with a glass of wine or juice, which was lovely. They also provided transportation back to the train station after checkout.

We loved our stay at Sanga Nikko. Yoshi is an amazing host and the tips that he gave is helped us so much. The interior is really calming and we had a fantastic stay there. Would highly recommend this accommodation to everybody looking for an authentic warm-hearted experience in Nikko!

our host was helpful, welcoming, and kind. the accommodations very clean and serene next to a trout stream. the location was slightly out of town but an inexpensive car rental solved all issues. our host dove us to the car rental facilities. so kind.

Absolutely perfect. What a wonderful place to stay, we had 3 nights here and can't fault it. The hosts are welcoming and very informative about the accommodation and the area. It was like having our own home in Japan, very special. Lots to do in the area and easy to access using buses, trains or just walking.

This apartment is lovely , so clean and everything you could possibly want for your stay , kitchen has all you need if you want to cook and there are plenty of places to eat nearby! The host is so friendly and helped us choose somewhere dinner ( he has a great list showing what type of cuisine and location from the accommodation) highly recommended 😀

The place is not big but got everything we needed, incl washing machine and dryer. Akihito San was most helpful with extra travel info and even dropped us a scale to weigh our luggages when requested. Overall very comfortable stay for a driving holiday.

Yoshi and wife are wonderful hosts, always ready to offer advice or ideas for things to do, and great people to chat with more generally. The accommodations is really great- too location, clean and well catered for. It’s shared bathrooms but there are ample facilities so you never have to wait. A really nice place to stay in Nikko, and incredibly convenient
