1 or 2 min walk to the closest train station and historical temple. Very convenient to Kyoto access. Owner had tea ceremony which was very informative and wonderful experience to learn about Japanese culture.

First time trying ryokan. Went absolutely above my expectations! Fancy private dining room that you both eat dinner and breakfast at. Very friendly staff who walks you through everything. Amazing private onsen with a beautiful view. Food was amazing! Shuttle bus was quick. Absolutely huge room, even for western standards!

Everything here was just amazing. When we first checked in, they made the mistake of assigning us to the room where other people were already in. But as soon as they realised they made the mistake, they quickly assigned us to another room and even offered us free drinks. The dinner was fantastic, and we were all very satisfied and full after dinner. There were three different onsens that I could enjoy during the stay. Both open-air onsens were beautiful and possibly one of the best onsens I've been to. The breakfast was also amazing!

Good location, sufficiently near to Kyoto and Lake Biwa. Two supermarkets within a short drive away. It is best to reach the place by your own car. The house is very well designed, decorated and maintained. Futaba-san is very accommodating and kind. He has extended his hospitality from the moment we booked the accommodation till the day we left, and always so courteous.
