Accommodation in Sumoto

It is what a good hotel should be like. Everywhere is sparkling clean. Room is spacious. Friendly and helpful staff. Fast free wife. Beautiful onsens. Elevators you don't have to wait at all. Delicious and plentiful dinner and breakfast.

Clean and well-furnished with an amazing view of the sea. Clear instructions on check-in process, amazing facilities (e.g. outdoor jacuzzi, kitchen with teppanyaki plate, spacious fridge).

Room was spacious, nice bath and free use of play rooms and laundry facilities. Amazing view, and architectural structure. Very quiet.

Great value at a low price. Able to use the facilities at the main hotel with 1-min walk.

It was a very good stay, I sometimes stay at this hotel, with good access to the Sumoto bus stop. Air Conditioner and hot water works well. There are big windows with sunlight coming in, and can see  Mikuma castle from the room has a good view.

The customer service was exceptional. The receptionist really went out of her way to help us with directions for the next day and ensured we had towels and items for use of the onsen. She was really wonderful, all the staff were amazing to deal with. Very friendly and spoke English well! The neighboring onsen was delightful after a long day of travelling. It overlooks the ocean and has a steam room along with warm pools. And completely free! Great facilities. Pristine! The room was bigger than we expected which is a great surprise. It also came with body wash, shampoo and conditioner. It was perfect for a night and I found the room very clean and comfortable. The double bed was also quite cosy. The location was perfect! On the right you can see Sumato castle and the left is the bus terminal which gives you access to both the north and south of Awaji Island. There's a good choice of local izakayas and restaurants in the area all within walking distance. And you're very close to the beach!

We had the best stay. The owner was lovely and helped us any way he could. The location was amazing, just around the corner from the beach. The place was comfortable, relaxing and exactly what we needed.

We had a wonderful time in the hotel with a beautiful japanese style bedroom with a beautiful view on the sea. We did the onsen which is small but confortable and clean. We can park at the hotel. We were at the upper floor, there is no elevator as mentioned in other comment but the staff kindly helped us to carry the luggages upstairs (we carry them down). It was manageable for us.

Very nice host, beautiful house, good location for onsen and seaside. He even picked us up and dropped us off with his car at the bus station. Thank you for having us :)

Lots of space, western beds, fully equipped. Easy to find, helpful instructions from the owner in advance with all details on access, parking and communications. Convenient location near the river, shops and beach
