Accommodations in Takachiho

The room was big and toilet and shower clean. Staff were very nice.

The owner has kept the facility and room very clean. He also spoke good English so communication was easy. The water self-service was convenient. The view from our room was breathtaking - we arrived on a rainy day, the mountains were misty and foggy in a beautiful way. It's close to the Shrine and a supermarket, very convenient.

They offered us a small kitchen and free tea. The common area gave us the opportunity to meet other people. Room was spacious and well heated. Even though the hosts didn’t speak English, they showed us lots of hospitality.

Very spacious living hall and kitchen, which is good when travel with family. You can enjoy the indoor hotspring with family members. Ample parking space with free wifi. It is near to Takachiho Gorge and Amaterasu Railway.

The house was big , clean, and comfortable. Before we entered the house, the host warmed up the house before we arrived. 2 shower, 1 bath room & 2 toilets was perfect for 8 persons, not easy to find when you have a big group. A place to hang your laundry. Many entering decorations.

The house is amazing really, it is a huge suprise when we first enter into the house. The decoration, the cleannesses, the design all perfect.

I enjoyed the breakfast, rooms, location, and the staff were incredibly hospitable, it was an amazing experience!

Incredible property and the ryokan was immaculate, tranquil and friendly. The staff were all wonderful and the owner is very kind. We were late to our gorge boat and she gave us a lift in the van. The meals were also wonderful. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Thank you again!

This is one of the most beautiful places we’ve stayed at during our trip. Set right against the mountain, surrounded by lush green trees and a river running right below us…it was spectacular to see. The onsens were lovely and we used the private onsen right beside the main building.
