A truly magical place, we had the most amazing stay. A unique small boutique hotel up in the mountains with stunning views, wonderful staff and delicious food. The manager, Eranda is so sincere and knowledgeable about the flora and fauna. He took us on a walk to the waterfall in the grounds and we had a very informative talk about nature. Such a lovely man. I can't recommend Capoe House enough, it's the nicest place we have ever stayed.

The view. The cleanliness. The value for money. The staff. Almost everything. I stayed there for 2 weeks last February. I liked the hotel a lot. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Hashan the owner treated us as his own guests. He is very generous and hospitable. The food was very delicious and authentic. Haputale is very calm place and less touristy than Ella. I loved it more than Ella. It is surrounded by tea plantations, and very ery close to Horton Plains and Lipton’s seat. The hotel arranged trips for us to those places and to Udawalawe National Park. The roads around the hotel are great for trekking.

The view is sensational and Gamini, the manager is very kind and extremely helpful. He gave us ideas for walks and things to do and nothing was ever a bother. The rooms are really nice and extremely great value. Wish we could have stayed longer. This hotel and Haputale were a highlight.

Everything. The room was lovely and had great views. The staff went above and beyond - they’re so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic, but the best part was definitely the on-site cooking class. It was so much fun and so yummy. It’s a bit outside of Haputale but a 300 rupee Tuk Tuk is super easy, and it’s walkable to the monastery down the street which is a much see little attraction. A+ all around!

This is an excellent glamping site in Haputhale. The accommodations include comfortable tents and mud houses with mattresses and pillows. There are also shower rooms and washrooms available, along with drinking water. The food provided is delicious and well-prepared. One of the highlights of this campsite is the nearby viewpoint, offering breathtaking views, especially during the morning sunrise, which is directly visible from the site. It's a truly spectacular sight and one of the best sunrises you'll ever witness.

The accommodation was clean, comfortable, very conveniently located with a great view from the dining room and a little bit quirky and full of personality. The owner was beyond helpful and ensured that our brief stay in Haputale was full of activity that suited our time and interest. Haputale was an interesting place and I wish we had spent more than one night exploring.

We agree 100% with the positive reviews. A perfect location to hike the Pekoe Trail. By the way Nilowin guesthouse is located on stage 12. Shan and his brother supported us in planning the tours and organized the transport. All our wishes have been fulfilled. We stayed 5 nights in this exeptional guesthouse. It was our best accommodation in Sri Lanka, we will come back again.

This is really the most beautiful location we have ever stayed in, with truly sensational views. We had a magical 4 day stay and would have very much liked to have stayed longer. The breakfasts were outstanding with freshly baked bread and a wide variety of Sri Lankan dishes with ingredients mostly grown in the garden. Diners were also spectacular. In addition, Michael and Ruwanthi”s warmth, hospitality and advice ensured this was the best part of our 3 week holiday travelling around Sri Lanka.

Owner welcomed me with a cup of tea as I came in very heavy rain. I asked to get a room with good wifi and he gave it to me so I could work while I stayed there. The Internet was very good in that room. I had a very nice hot shower. View from my room and from the balcony was amazing, especially in the morning. Location is very good, very close to everything. Just under the accommodation in the main road is a local restaurant with Rice and curry with good prices.
