Accommodation in Fajã

Cozy, well equipped, in a wonderful place.

Very nice little house in a beautiful location under the hills near the lighthouse. The kitchen opens onto a large spacious terrace with seating and sun loungers, with a beautiful evening sunset over the ocean. Very romantic and peaceful place. Morning with coffee and evening with cake :-) The beds are comfortable and it was very pleasant to sleep here. A car is essential on the entire island. I recommend a hike under the volcano and around the volcano. You can also get to the volcano by car. Everything is beautifully green and overgrown with forest and flowers and many waterfalls and streams. A pleasant beautiful island and a comfortable, nice house.

Love the house, renovated and clean, and its position.

Comfy house with a beautiful garden area incl. Yacuzzi. Everything was clean and well equipped, the check in very simple and friendly. The beach is close and the surroundings pure nature. My friend and I loved it. You have to take the care to do groceries, but you know that when staying there and it's not a problem at all.

The house is located in such a beautiful and quiet place! It comes with a spacious private parking and a terrace which has a outdoor shower and a grill zona. There is also air conditioning in the house. Owner is really nice!

The house is well equipped and comfortable. The old buildings have been renovated to a high standard. We enjoyed the local beach which is absolutely beautiful with its black sand and white surf. The village is quiet and calm. The Snack-bar Pizzaria Fajã, just a few hundred meters away, does fabulous pizza. Christiano, the owner, provided plenty of information on activities and attractions as well as some welcoming fresh bread, home made jam and coffee. Communication was good and a power cut caused by lightning was resolved relatively easily when we informed him.

the localisation, the calme and peaceful vibe the attention from the owner

Nuno welcomed us very warmly, he showed us all the facilities in the house, and there was even a small welcome gift that made our early arrival better. The house is very well equipped, we even had barbecue and fireplace for us to use. We'll definitely come back to Casa do Capelo and we warmly recommend it to our friends.

We loved this property. It had such a lovely ambiance, the owners were so friendly and welcoming. It had beautiful views, the swimming pool was lovely and refreshing and it was such a relaxing place to stay. We really didn’t want to leave

Headline: 10/10 stay on Faial! We had the most wonderful stay at Quinta do Areeiro! Having the private top floor with a private entrance gave us complete comfort and privacy. The apartment has a fully equipped separate kitchen, a dedicated washing room for clothes, and an amazing big terrace that was perfect for stargazing at night. Everything was spotless and beautifully prepared. Most importantly, Carlos and Telma are really nice hosts! They are incredibly friendly, kind, and so lovely to talk to, yet they completely respect your privacy. Their support made our trip to Faial truly unforgettable. Highly recommended!

Awesome and quiet place, the location is "far" from Horta (30 min by car) but close to Capelinho and the road to the Caldeira, so it's good for off peak-hours sightseeing, and requires a bit of planning for groceries/supermarket trips. The place is way better than it looks in pictures, as of july 2025.

Nuno was friendly. He brought us a welcome basket filled with eggs from his chickens, homemade jam and very good cheese ( the best we have had since being in the Azores).
