Staff is adorable. Restaurant is excellent and affordable. Breakfast is great. The place is well organized and shining clean. They are flexible and served breakfast earlier, and allowed late checkout with no cost.

Retiro do Geres is a truly amazing place. It combines the calmness and beaty of the mountains with high quality service, food and accomodation. The personal is friendly and varm and makes you feel right at home. The breakfast is overwhelming. The restaurant is brilliant. The pool and sauna is beatiful. We had a great great time with our kids here for 3 nights while taking smaller hikes in the area around the village fafiao - and we hope to come back again.

Good old house. Nothing special, but ok for 1 night stay

A most marvellous stay in a very beautiful and historic setting. The bar downstairs was an authentic part of the local culture, and most of the food and beverage offerings were produced traditionally there in the town. This was very special. Campo de Geres is also a hub of some great walking trails. Accom was not fancy, but the overall experience was truly wonderful.

The apartment is located in a small village in the Peneda-Gerês National Park. It’s an ideal starting point for exploring the park. There are several hiking trails near the apartment. There are also two bars nearby where you can spend the evening.

Great stay with a lovely mountain view from the balcony. The room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was fresh ,staff were welcoming, and the free parking inside the guest house.

I stayed for one night with a friend and had an amazing experience. The hotel is very well located, and the staff were incredibly helpful and attentive throughout our stay. Our room was spacious, spotless, and comfortable, with a bed that made it easy to relax. The view was absolutely breathtaking, truly unforgettable. We also enjoyed the pool and the breakfast, which, although simple, offered a good variety of options. One of the highlights was that the beach by the lagoon is just a 10-minute walk from the hotel, which made it even more convenient. Everything about our stay was perfect, and I genuinely couldn't recommend a better place to stay in Gerês.

It was clean and felt bigger than on the pictures. Even though a bit far from the accommodation, the pool was great. The hotel parking is an extra but a good deal.

Loved the view during the day. Can't put a price on that. Thank you so much for the owners to give me the corner room. It was just breathtaking. It's stitched into my memory and will forever remain there. The place is wonderful and just what you need to relax and unwind. The balcony is great to have a coffee or just enjoy the scenery or get some sun if you can. Also have a wonderful breakfast for an extra cost which is well worth it and free parking (entrance is tricky). I would only stay here if I ever come back here.

Everything was great. Amazing location at the center of the town with a great view over the town. Super nice staff. The room was very comfortable and the common areas as well. We loved our stay.
