PortugalI stayed for 1 night only at Governos House, but this was just amazing! Ms. Teresa is an outstanding person, she welcomed me and my mom with kind and love. The house was just perfect for us, a cozy and quiet place indeed. Ms. Teresa invited us to her tavern near the house and also we were received for all people that were there with kind and affection. I will return to the surroundings in the near future and will stay at Governos House for sure! Thank you for all, Ms. Teresa!

GermanyThe apartment is very well located within the Linhares village. It’s only a couple minutes walk to the medieval castle and the main little square of town - which you can find a great restaurant too!
It had everything one might need to cook and it was super clean and had such a homey smell.
The host was also flexible as I had some issues with my reservation (which was my own mistake, but the host was incredibly flexible and helped me out).
It is perfect for a couple to stay, and it is also super charming with the medieval vibes from the city. We were also given a little gift which was super delicious!! Definitely a highlight for us.
Funny thing - Linhares doesn’t have house numbers, but the host’s instructions made it super easy to find ;)

GermanyWe came across this beautiful pension when we were looking for a place which is the closest to Serra da Estrela.
The host gave us a warm welcome and our expectations were exceeded after arriving at this beautiful and lovely Quinta. Every detail about the interior in the entire pension made us feel cozy and welcoming there. We really enjoyed our stay there and the host was such a lovely and friendly local who really tries everything to make her guests feel like home.
Every single morning she provided us with an enriched best breakfast buffet and the food was always fresh and clean.
She didn't hesitate a single bit about being asked for anything and she even made the effort to store my birthday cake in her own fridge which we brought with us all the way to our destination. She even got out of her way to arrange with me and my fiancé a little birthday breakfast with our cake. We can't thank her enough for her support and help during our entire stay. We both really enjoyed our chats with her and we also appreciate her own recommendations about some places very much which turned out to be hidden local gems to us.
We both really enjoyed our stay in that Quinta and we really highly recommend this place to anyone who plans a trip to Serra da Estrela.
