The house was in a small village next door to a cafe/restaurant. This was a lovely calm place to stay with everything you needed. It was lovely to spend time just walking around the countryside and village. The bread man does the rounds of the village each day tooting his horn and stopping to sell his wonderful fresh bread,

This house was lovely and clean. Comfortable and spacious. The location is great for exploring near by national parks and has an authentic local restaurant below. The hosts were very kind and extremely helpful.

The room was exactly as the photos shown, all very clean, the bed was really comfortable! There is a restaurant across the road that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner at very good prices and portions. The place in itself is very well located. The staff is amazing, all extremely helpful!

The view from the room was amazing! Room and bathroom ware a decent size and the restaurant downstairs had some amazing food. Staff were lovely.

Breakfast, surroundings, host, charm of buiding A magnificent residence set in a screen of greenery and very beautifully restored, but what makes this place so charming is Javier and his team. Javier goes above and beyond to offer each visitor a personalized experience… in short, to use his favorite word… everything was ‘spectacular’!

Friendly and attentive staff. The entire hotel is clean, in good condition and well maintained. Good location for exploring the rest of Serra de Estrela as it saves you at least an hour’s worth of travel every day compared to towns in the valley. Restaurant has a large enough menu to try something different every evening and all is delicious. On a rainy day I just relaxed in the spa (sauna and small swimming pool)

We have only good things to say. From their willingness to accommodate our requests before arrival, to the warm welcome and fresh bread and fruit upon arrival. We enjoyed our stay in the lovely little cottage.

The view was wonderful The facilities was great, clean and well equipped.

We loved the location of the house. The interior walls are made of granite which makes the house fresh without the need of air conditioned. Also the house is quite spacious. The hosts had a basket with honey, cheese, and coffee waiting for us. The kitchen is well equipped with all it is needed for a conformable stay. The location allows easy access to all hiking trails of Serra da Estrela. One of the best hiking trails starts very near the house and also gives access to a very nice river beach. If you are traveling with pets, the house is also the perfect spot.

Exceptional hosts, rooms and property. Make sure to do the short hike from the casa.

It was an extremely comfortable stay for us. The kitchen had everything you could need if you wanted to cook. It was only about a 10 min drive to Seia township and the views from the property were absolutely stunning. There were wall heaters in each room (we went in winter) and a heat pump in the main living room so we were all cozy.

This is a wonderful place to stay with the family. Spacious apartments, all amenities, very clean, amazing mountain views from the windows. The hosts are kind and hospitable.

Amazing luxury hotel on top of a mountain with fabulous food and the most helpful & welcoming staff. It has natural waterfalls within the grounds, great air con and the most comfortable beds. The £45 set dinner with wine was great & breakfast substantial!

Everythin! Host was super friendly and welcoming and the place was just fantastic.
