Very good food, both at breakfast and when we ate there in the afternoons or evenings. Great pizzas. Do not miss the tuna tartare

This hotel was by far the best one we stayed at during our trip to Tanzania (we visited four different ones). It's extremely well designed, spotlessly clean, the food was very good, and the host was outstanding—better than anywhere else we stayed. Highly recommended!

We recently celebrated our anniversary and birthdays at Sunshine Azura Hotel, and honestly, it was beyond anything we expected. From the moment the team learned about our special occasion, they went above and beyond to make it truly memorable. The room arrangements were absolutely beautiful — thoughtfully decorated with such care and attention to detail that it immediately made us feel special and celebrated. It wasn’t just decoration; it felt personal and heartfelt. The dinner setup was equally stunning. The table was perfectly arranged for celebration, creating a romantic and joyful atmosphere that made our evening unforgettable. The staff ensured everything ran smoothly, and their kindness and professionalism really stood out. What touched us most was the unexpected upgrade to a honeymoon suite once they knew we were celebrating our anniversary. That gesture meant so much to us and showed a level of hospitality that is rare to find. Thank you to the entire Sunshine Azura team for making our celebration so special. Your effort, warmth, and attention to detail turned our stay into a beautiful memory we will always cherish. We truly look forward to coming back. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a place that genuinely cares about making your special moments extraordinary. Musab & Fatima

The staff was really wonderful, friendly, and helpful. My partner was a bit unwell, so they instantly arranged for a doctor to come for a consultation. Dr. Mohammad was great, and reassuring, even sent us some medicine and followed up after, which really helped my partner recover fast and made our visit very relaxed. The place is beautiful! The beach stunning!! The rooms are very clean, comfortable and spacious. They are designed to provide privacy together with a direct view of the sea, with the beautiful sound of waves at night and early morning, which makes it very special. We loved the fact that all materials used and architectural designs of the hotel were all local. Would highly recommend.

First i must say that every single staff member was very friendly, and you immediately feel like home. We were offered a free of charge massage when we checked in, and we were also given extra time to use our room at the check out as the room wasnt booked again for that day, which was a nice gesture by the receptionist. The gardening all around the hotel is very beautiful, lush and unique . The chef of the restaurant was very good and every evening we were welcomed with white tablecloth which made the evening vibes more special. The free natural water refill option at the restaurant was very helpful. Multiple places where you can relax and enjoy the sun were scattered around the hotel. We had a room with a garden view and it exceeded our expectations. The room was nicely decorated, neat and clean. I highly recommend this hotel and will most definitely return if I visit Zanzibar again. Asante sana

Quiet. Very friendly staff. Good restaurant next to the house. Refrigerator, drinking water, AC, communication

This was by far the best place I could have stayed. Amazing room and staff. I can only say thank you Mr Samir, Mr Ali and Miss Aziza. Would I come back? A thousand times YES

The location near a good beach

Extremely clean + ideal location + great food + excellent hospitality. I would always come back to this hotel whenever i come to Zanzibar.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The reception team was welcoming and always ready to assist. A special mention to the housekeeping team, especially Fatuma and Mariam, who were incredibly helpful and ensured everything was spotless. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the food is absolutely delicious. The location is perfect, right on the beach — you can hear the waves and enjoy amazing views. The manager is very professional and shows great customer care. I highly recommend this place to all travelers visiting Zanzibar. I will definitely come back!

We had a great time right at the beachfront. It’s a very local experience. It’s a villages right nearby. My friends and I had a blast.
