Accommodations in Cái Bè

Vu and his family were extremely welcoming, the air-conditioned room very spacious and comfortable, and the home-cooked food just delicious (you can help prepare it and learn how it’s done!). To boot, Vu was super-helpful in arranging for transport from and to HCMC and his tours are lots of fun, while offering real insights into life in the Delta.

What a wonderful find - Beautiful place with fantastic facilities and the staff were excellent. Had a great tour around the garden which was very interesting. Even gave us a lift to the ATM when we didn’t have any cash / which included a tour to the local temple - fascinating. Would highly recommend this

A lovely way to finish our 1 month of travels in Vietnam with a few days watching the Mekong life happen all around. The lodge is situated a little south of Cai Be, which can be accessed by boat (which picks you up from the tourist harbor) or by foot (a nice 30 minute walk into town along a narrow road). The vibe here is super chill - we walked into the early morning (land) market one morning (excellent) and did the resort boat tour the 2nd day (a great way to get a small taste of all the industries centered around rice, fruit, etc). Both days followed by a relaxing afternoon on our little villa patio (with pool) or in the pool area watching the Mekong boat traffic, and the amazing sunsets. I can not fault this property - it is an ecolodge employing many local people, and teaching them English plus tourism, a commendable ‘give back’ to the community (especially after the 2 year shut down in COVID). The food was tasty/local and the property itself is spotless - flowers/greenery everywhere. So, if you are reading this post, STAY HERE and escape the touristy areas of MyTho and Can Tho - the floating markets may be bigger in those places, but Cai Be gives you a true sense of how times are changing with technology and transport - most of the floating market has now (rightfully) moved to the morning/land market so that more people can access/shop there (makes sense! wouldn’t your country do the same!!). If you read people criticizing this place for food or accommodation, clearly because they expect 5 star Marriott in an ecolodge, then judge for yourself - I am a seasoned traveller and this place is up there with one of my favorites (location is tops). Also - the staff are learning to interact with you as a tourist, so be respectful and help them - smile, explain, and use Google translate or know their name!!! GREAT job Mekong Lodge Resort - I will visit again.

Services, the place itself is amazing

Great view and location. The host is welcoming. Breakfast is always delicious and best enjoyed near the window overlooking the river. Safe and quiet neighborhood.
