Janaina has been an absolutely fantastic host. I have been included in both breakfasts, lunch and she even introduced me to dancing class close by, where I tried to dance Samba and brega. In short, I do not think it is possible to be shown more service, kindness, and an introduction to the culture of Pará than with her.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa da Mata Marajó, surrounded by nature, and were warmly hosted by Marcileia and her family, who made us feel completely at home. The food was delicious, prepared with love and care, and we gained fascinating insights into island life and its unique challenges through great guided tour and visit. Will definitely come back.

Pousada Reloday features an outdoor swimming pool, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Salvaterra. John is a wonderful host, he facilitated our transfers, helped organize the buffalo tour and was a delight to talk to. Joanes beach is very beautiful and we saw an amazing moon rise there. The pousada is super comfortable, from the bed, to shower, reliable internet service and the wonderful pool. Breakfast was hearty with eggs, fruit juice, coffee, fruits, sandwiches and John’s yummy banana bread. I had a serious health issue during our stay and had to seek emergency care. John drove us to the ER and waited until I was released, which took half a day and took us back to the pousada. We absolutely loved this stay and highly recommend. John is a super host!
