Denis and his family were wonderfully warm and helpful, always prompt and kind with their responses. A heartfelt thank you to them for making our stay so memorable. This is, without a doubt, a must-stay gem in the Alps.

Situated in Altdorf and with Lucerne Station reachable within 39 km, Berggasthaus Eggberge - Boutique Mountain Hotel - Access via Cablecar features a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout... Magical location only reachable by a short cable car ride from the town/road. Wonderful hosts, comfortable rooms and characterfully decorated hotel! Dinner was also fabulous. Would love to come back for a longer stay. Highly recommended.

Set just 17 km from Source of the Rhine River - Lake Thoma, Lupshalte features accommodation in Wassen with access to a garden, barbecue facilities, as well as a shared kitchen. Before arrival I'd had much communication with Ewa as we gained an additional friend on our journey. She was great - so weloming - she left the door unlocked so we were able to get in as soon as we arrived. She came to welcome us and showed us around, advised about parking etc The place was lovely - very comfy rooms and a well stocked kitchen. The coffee machine was ready for use. Excellent value for money.

The location, in a middle of everything, so close to everything. The coop supermarket is in the same building, so you can buy stuffs wearing t shirts! Thomas, the owner, he’s so nice! The room is super spacious and what a view! And you can park (and charge your car if you need) in a garage, so you don’t have to worries about the snow in your car, only be grateful for big amounts of snow! We’ll definitely comeback to Alpenhotel! And I can’t forget to mention, breakfast is really great, delicious…
