Beautifully positioned on the water and views from the top front room are stunning. I didn’t want to leave it. Convenient location for short (uphill) walk to bus station and centre of town. Really good breakfast and staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice places to eat nearby.

A very helpful owner and staff. The owner had great advice on where to visit, including a great penguin tour that I took on my last day. The room was also good, with a private bath. The common area was spacious too.

This is really a wonderful place, super clean, cozy but with good common areas, amazing comfortable beds and warm at night. Safe location and easy to walk up the nearby hill right into the center of downtown Castro. It was always very quiet here, especially at night. A nice experience to stay in a palofito (stick house).

Located in Ancud and only 1.3 km from Arena Gruesa Beach, Hostal Casa Damasco provides accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. The property has city and inner courtyard... The location was amazing. Literally like 1 minute to the coast from the hostel(walking) and only a few blocks from the artisanal market and to the towns’ busy area. The house was decorated beautifully and was very spacious. The host Raúl was very intelligent, well mannered, and informative. Though, I didn’t use it, he offers tours in his Hostel (penguins, the town, etc). Very good communication with him and he recommended us good places to eat and where to visit within Ancud and where to go afterwards. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was perfect. Private parking available upon request. Central AC in the house, so we slept nice and warm.

Situated 1.9 km from Sabanilla Beach, Cabañas y hostal Aurora features accommodation with a garden, a terrace and a shared kitchen for your convenience. Breakfast was prepared always just before we came down . We were always asked what time we wanted to have breakfast. We stayed over Newyear's eve and New years day. And they arranged for a delicious meals to be brought to the lodge for us during a time many restaurants were closed. Parking was in a gated area and very secure. they have cat and dogs that were very friendly, but were kept outside our entire stay. The owners kept in contact with us prior to arriving. I would go back here anytime!

Located just 1.6 km from Arena Gruesa Beach, 13 Lunas Hostel features accommodation in Ancud with access to a garden, barbecue facilities, as well as luggage storage space. Lovely hostel with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I loved the kitchen - big, homey, and filled with everything you need to cook. The staff wonderful - helpful, patient, and kind! The hostel arranged a penguin tour and kayaking tour for me - both a lot of fun. The hostel is located right across the street from Bus Sur Station so if you are planning to travel here by bus from Castro or Puerto Montt, take Bus Sur! It's alos located just a few blocks from the shore and from many restaurants, supermarket, and cafes.
