Yungang Airport is 30 minutes' taxi ride from the property. The hotel is located in a very central area. The room are very good. Perfect for two. The hotel looks like new / renovated and it is a special place. The service is great. They organised for us the trip to Hanging temple and the a Buddhas. Honestly we could not ask more.

Beautiful traditional guesthouse in a quiet street inside the walls of the old city. The breakfast was very nice, the backyard was very well decorated and calming. Our taxi driver from the train station called the guesthouse, so the owner came and picked up the luggage into the ancient city. Highly recommended . Thank you. Breakfast can be chosen Chinese or Western—I tried both during my stay and each was fresh, well-presented, and generous (fresh juice and good coffee/tea included). The location is perfect for walking the lanes yet peaceful once inside the courtyard. Tips for Western travelers: cars can’t enter the old town, so message the hotel for pickup; wear comfortable shoes; and leave time to simply enjoy the courtyard—part heritage museum, part modern gallery. A flawless stay.

It’s super convenient to head back for a break after visiting the attractions. What’s more, the surrounding area is bustling with life. When you stroll out in the evening, the lanterns light up, and old shops and street food stalls are right in front of you, full of that lively, authentic vibe. No need to hunt for places to eat; just step into any spot, and it’s sure to be delicious. The biggest surprise, though, is the service here—they truly take care of every little detail. When I checked in, the owner warmly introduced local attractions, even telling me which shop has the most authentic Pingyao beef and the best time to visit Rishengchang to avoid crowds. That kind of thoughtful care makes the whole trip feel so warm. I’ll definitely stay here again when I come back to Pingyao. Great location, amazing atmosphere, and service that’s second to none—highly recommended!
