Discover the charm of Hotel Secreto La Fortuna, a quiet retreat in the heart of Fortuna, Costa Rica. The staff were very friendly, always had time to chat and talk about the area, show animals they had spotted on the property. We saw the sloth that lives in the trees near the entrance, iguanas, frogs. The gardens at the hotel are an array of colours full of unusual plants and birds. The accomadation was very comfortable, large bed big bathroom. There was a place to sit outside at the end of the day to relax and remember the activities of the day and plan the day ahead. The pool was great when u returned after a day trip. Breakfast was included and it was a great start to the day. Selection of items available, fruit, eggs, pancakes with bacon. All was wonderful

We were in the Smithsonian room for 2 nights and it was perfect. The room is huge and very tastefully decorated. The bathrooms are designed nicely as well. The linens and bed are very comfortable and everything is clean. They also conduct free tours every day that you can join. , as well as paid tours for birdwatching etc that you can participate in. Arenal observatory lodge is a prime spot for birdwatching and we were able to spot a lot of species right at the feeders itself as well as on the pathways.

Hotsprings and also pool well maintained. Loved the happy hour on the wet bar.

This tropical hotel is located next to Costa Rica's Arenal Volcano, 6 km from La Fortuna. It offers a natural hot spring, outdoor adventure activities, a luxurious spa and scenic volcano views. Great place with plenty to do! We were a group of 7 and the facilities gave us space to be together and also relax separately. The hot springs, drinks, and pool slide were the highlights, while two of the group loved the Zipline. Breakfast and service were excellent, and check-in and parking were smooth.
