The property nestled in this beautiful forest near the falls. Frtiz and his wife are very friendly and gave us local recommendation. They had welcome drinks a s breakfast was delicious. The overall setting of the rooms were great. AC worked fine which is super important in humid climate. The rooms had distinct fragrance of euclyptus. I thought that was a good touch. Hot water also worked fine. Highly recommend.

Located in Copey, Curuba Lodge offers accommodation with a terrace or a balcony, free WiFi and flat-screen TV, as well as a garden and a restaurant. Very friendly and welcoming host family, that provided us with so good recommendations in the area. In their Cafeteria they also offered us drinks and snacks in the afternoon. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean and the area is very quiet. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. The heaters in the private rooms and ovens in the communal areas made it feel cozy and warm Event though it can be quite chilly and damp up in the mountains. The garden is like a little park and has some nice sitting areas. Also there is an awesome sunset spot nearby and some walks.

Located in Piedades, 42 km from Poas National Park, Canal Grande Lodge provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. Authentic costarican hotel. Beautiful pool with loungers, beautiful flowers and amazing cacti, view of the mountains. Comfy clean rooms, nice bathroom, no air but high ceiling with a ceiling fan we were comfortable in february. Hostess was welcoming and accommodating, great breakfast outside. We had a short walk to a Mexican restaurant for dinner. Shuttle to airport not included but the hotel arranged it for us.

Las Bromelias Lodge has garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Paso Macho, 28 km from Cerro de la Muerte. There were lots of warm blankets and some firewood to help keep warm.

Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a private pool, garden view and a patio, Cozy apartment with terrace, SJ Cosmopolitan Tower #402 is set in San José. This apartment was excellent. The kitchen was spotless and really well appointed. The bedding very clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was clean and spacious with good products. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. I couldn't have been more impressed. The building itself has a sauna, pool and cinema room and is in a safe and walkable location. Whilst there we also visited downtown San Jose and Barrio Escslantes. I'd highly recommend a visit to Barrio Escalantes, a cheap taxi ride away.

With Manuel Antonio National Park reachable in 47 km, El Toucanet Lodge & Restaurante provides accommodation, a restaurant, a garden, a terrace and a bar. The land and the gardens are amazing. The views from the balcony were also great, specially for birdwatching. The breakfast was delicious. The staff was kind and very focused on the details.
