Casa Pandora Hostel Women Only ligger i San José, bare 7,5 kilometer fra Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica og 10 kilometer fra Parque Diversiones. I didn’t like the far Spanish lady front next door, (I believe she works at the beauty salon next to the hostel and the hostel itself advertise her to their guests) she sounded Spaniard to me, I lived in Spain for over a year while doing an internship that’s why I think her accent was Spaniards. Anyway! She was super rude and I said hi more than once and she just didn’t answer back. I thought it was rude but I just did it out of respect anyway . I thought she was too rough to my taste. But then one night there were some of her friends visiting and using the facilities of the hostel to get ready and they were all very noisy and rude and peeing and pooping with open doors I have never seen such thing in my life and I know it’s a female hostel but still. I don’t want to see no body peeing or pooping in front of me.

The property nestled in this beautiful forest near the falls. Frtiz and his wife are very friendly and gave us local recommendation. They had welcome drinks a s breakfast was delicious. The overall setting of the rooms were great. AC worked fine which is super important in humid climate. The rooms had distinct fragrance of euclyptus. I thought that was a good touch. Hot water also worked fine. Highly recommend.

Villas Páramo Cloud Forest Hotel tilbyr overnatting med en terrasse og balkong i tillegg til utsikt over byen. Her bor du bare 39 kilometer unna Nauyaca-fallene. Beautiful space, unbelievable views. 10/10 recommend!

Very friendly and welcoming host family, that provided us with so good recommendations in the area. In their Cafeteria they also offered us drinks and snacks in the afternoon. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean and the area is very quiet. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. The heaters in the private rooms and ovens in the communal areas made it feel cozy and warm Event though it can be quite chilly and damp up in the mountains. The garden is like a little park and has some nice sitting areas. Also there is an awesome sunset spot nearby and some walks.

Las Bromelias Lodge ligger i Paso Macho, 28 kilometer fra Cerro de la Muerte og 45 kilometer fra Lankester botaniske hage, og har overnatting med hage med en terrasse, utsikt mot hagen samt gratis... The cabin is beautiful and in a lovely location. Quiet at night and in the morning, with just the sound of nature. The beds are comfortable and plenty of blankets available. The open fire is also lovely. The cabin is spacious and cosy. Internet was also good as was the TV.

I San José, 36 kilometer fra Poas nasjonalpark, ligger AC Hotel San Jose Airport Belen, som har et utendørsbasseng, privat parkering, et treningsstudio og en terrasse. We were in between airports for a night, after coming out of the jungle. Next time we would book an extra day there to chill. Nice roof top pool area. Everything modern and clean (and dry, after the jungle).
