After a long tour of Cabo Verde, it good to relax in the high of Fogo. Swimming pool, nice campaign around. Very peace full. Very comfortable bed. Nice and cool place. Efficient team. Ciza e Rose is situated in Portela and offers a garden and a shared lounge. The property has mountain and city views. Of course, the Guesthouse is not comparable to a 3Stars hotel but when you come to this kind of place, Ciza e Rose is exactly the kind of Guesthouse you expect! Rose was born here, he is the right man at the right place and his family is very nice. Rose can speak many languages, including french. The rooms are simple but have all you need. They are big, quiet and all around a patio. Board games are available and we could play Awale and learn a new way to play with Michael, the son. The breakfast was really good and a bit different each day, with cakes... We got a lot of explanations from Rose, who is also a guide if you need. Communication was really easy with them, even before arriving. A "collectivos" picked us up at the airport and Rose organized another one to drop us to Sao Filipe. We eat at the Guesthouse in the evenings. At midday, we went several times to Isabel Restaurant ( actually Isabel is Rose's sister but we didn't know it the first time!). By the way, Rose has 6 brothers/sisters at Portela.

The location and space they have created is beautiful.

TCHAN LOVe is a recently renovated bed and breakfast in Portela, where guests can make the most of its garden and bar. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. I loved the owners they were so sweet and friendly. And their child was sooo cuute. They organized me a very good guide to hike to the volcano. His name was Du Santos and he was really really a nice guy. During the trip he learned us a little bite Kreol and told us something about Fogo. I liked the accomodation very much, it was clean and confortable. The owner cooked also excellent. So thank you! Obrigada❤️

Hotel Salinas São Jorge has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in São Filipe. Everything. Katya is very welcoming, cooks very (very very) well and takes care of her client like no one did in Cap Verde. We have spent 2 weeks in Cabo Verde and haven’t met anyone that kind, welcoming and helpful. The place is also amazing. Out of nowhere, facing the sea, natural swimming pool… you name it! Katya also offers a few options to discover Fogo island like pico de fogo.

One of the most relaxing places I have ever stayed, great value for money. Dani and his family prepared great food everyday, very very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Great recommendations concerning the surrounding area and the volcano. They offer all kind of tours for different levels of experience without being too pushy for it, so if you want to do a hike on your own, you still get the same great recommendations. Overall just a great place to spend your time, very relaxing.
