Located within 8.4 km of Jean Piaget University of Cape Verde and 11 km of Cabo Verde University, Palmira House provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Cidade Velha. Stayed one night and 100% loved the place, there's so much to like. The room is cutely-designed and super clean, nice bathroom, good A/C. Super quiet except for the waves crashing in the distance. Breakfast was very satisfying and complete...egg, yogurt, apple, cereal, coffee, bread, jam. You can pay with a credit card and no % fee added. Although my room did not have a balcony there is a really nice area with a table & chairs looking out to the ocean so you don't need one. I did not use the pool but laid on the chaise for a while, so nice and peaceful. Sure it's a 10-minute walk to the main little square (I timed it once at 9min 50sec) but that's not an issue, it's a very pleasant stroll.

El que més vull destacar és l'hospitalitat de l'Alcino, ens va tractar estupendament! La seva casa es còmode i a més, a prop de la platja i del centre. El fet de poder disposar de cuina i zona comuna ens va facilitar molt l'estada.

Apto Morabeza T2 Praia is set in the Palmarejo district of Praia, less than 1 km from Cova Figueira Beach, a 5-minute walk from Cabo Verde University and 2.6 km from Maria Pia Lighthouse. The apartment is spacious, quiet and 2 minutes walk to supermarkets and restaurants. The wifi is good and there is Netflix. It’s in a nice neighbourhood with a local feel to it. As such, restaurants are very reasonably priced as they are not tourist traps. Above all, the couple that runs the apartment, Sandra and Ricardo, are so caring and attentive to any need or question you might have. They are wonderful, charming hosts! I would definitely return.

Deluxe B&B "Casa Alegria", Tarrafal is located in Tarrafal and offers a garden and a shared lounge. The property features mountain and garden views, and is 500 metres from Mar di Baxu Beach. A unique hotel, everything from A to Z is well thought out, and Irene and her team take perfect care of their guests. The room was large, clean and lovingly furnished, we lacked nothing. The bathroom was also wonderful. Breakfast on the very cozy rooftop terrace is excellent and also offers a nice selection of local delicacies. The hotel's location is perfect, just a few minutes' walk to the beautiful beach and countless nice restaurants. In total: SIMPLY AMAZING! :-)

With mountain views, Dunas De Areia Preta is located in Ribeira da Prata and has a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk, bar, garden, children's playground and picnic area. It was clean and the family setting was exactly what we were looking for. The home cooked meals breakfast and dinner were delicious. We enjoyed the late afternoon walks down to the black sandy beach.

Offering a garden and mountain view, Cote de France is set in Fundura, 38 km from Cape Verde National Stadium and 44 km from Sucupira Market. Basic but clean rooms. Wonderful and very affordable evening meal and great drinks.
